It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

For those getting lots of orphans, setting up your port forwarding for port 7688 should fix it, soon as i got my 'number of connections' from 8 to 60 or so most of the blocks i mine become confirmed. and im now up to over 1100 yak coins

after 2 hours of mining on 2 8 core i7's I finally got my first block. It has 48 confirmations, with 472 left before it's mature. I hope it actually works...

Please post your orphans here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199264.0

Orphans, orphans everywhere - not a single one to adopt.

I was initially getting the mined symbol and then they quickly became orphaned - now not even that.

Please drop a few in my bowl Sad

Something released properly (almost, minus the delay), and actually slightly *different* than every other coin.  Perhaps dev is on to something!

Profit-Switching Pool w/ Vardiff -> http://hashco.ws  Optionally keep the alts we mine or auto-trade for BTC. In addition can be paid out in any of: 365, AC, BC,  BTC, C2, CINNI, COMM, FAC, HBN, MINT, PMC, QRK, RDD, WC, XBC
