Not at all. Those who are afraid of August one are those who always get panic if there is even a little downfall of price. Actually, nothing to be afraid of on that date. It's actually an oppurtunity, if it's goes down then it's an oppurtunity to buy at a cheaper price the same goes when it goes up, time for selling at a higher price. Its just a normal i think that we will see the price fall after segwit activation.. just the same what happen last year after block halving we don't see any good movement of the price of bitcoin and we only seen the drop down but we are not expecting the price will increase with a great value and until now we are see a big bump.. So this coming new event much better to dont be afraid its just a normal..

Always a good idea is to buy bitcoin because anytime the price can be increase the price before the segwit activation for those who afraid about bitcoin they are just losing the opportunity to make a good profit. like i said the downfall is just a normal for bitcoin..
Developers are always looking for a way to improve bitcoin so i think after segwit activation we will see the importance of this new feature that can push the price more high..

If applied to me then so be it. Recovery will takes time but after all you know how to minimize the losses. And you just said, unexpected things happen in blink of eye, so chances for high price pump is also possible.

But remember, there's no such thing as instant downfall. If ever a big crash will happened, still we can get out. Just for assurance, I must be present most of the time during that day and after in order to get in touch with my coins.

a lot of people are there i think who have some confusion about the price of bitcoin but i am sure that very soon their confusion will become finish and they will start investing their money in bitcoin once again.

Is there an official announcement if the UASF will be activated on 1 August? Because i don't see that. Looks all of the statement regarding what will be happened in the 1 August still a speculation.
They will not start invest in bitcoin before the UASF will be finished. Especially if the bitcoin gets forked and you will see another forked coin like ETC criminal coin.
That's the worst scenario ( I can say it is still a rumor)

I am afraid because I literally have no idea, i read some articles and still im confuse maybe someone here enlighten me. Now heres my situation, My coins are literally spread in altcoins, i do trading now my question is, is it to stay my money their before the segwit ? or should i convert it into fiat and but bitcoin right after the segwit ?

I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.

I am not afraid and i am just waiting for that day because already we could see now that spammers have started leaving the network since they know that segwit would be activated and they have stopped sending spam transactions.So we could see that transactions are confirmed quickly with even small fee.So,after segwit,situations would improve much more.

Anything could really happen on a blink of an eye knowing about the properties of crypto its really volatile if a certain news do happen then effects would either give some feel or nothing at all. If the price crashes after you bought then you will surely be frustrate and might think to cut loss but dont ever do that price do really recover it might take sometime but its better than leaving on negative side. Lots of speculations here since we do have different views on this event,so tha main thing here is we should watch out what would happen next.

  For me I'm actually excited because we don't know what will happen and we have all many questions on what will happen. It could be a bad things and or it will be the opposite of it. We don't know and this is what excites me, for sure we all hope that after the update will benefit us all and all of this fear will be gone. This is very simple thing , you should think that lot of amount of the Bitcoin are hold by the owner of the Bitcoin , so what will happ if the network of the blockchain will face problem , I mean we don't need to worry much about this , and instead of this some preacuation should be taken by us .
1) Before 1 August transfer your all Bitcoin at the blockchain wallet .
2) If you have Bitcoin then transfer only Bitcoin to your address of blockchain also  .
3) don't make transaction like things from any of the Bitcoin wallet .
4) Make backup of your wallet of the blockchain before the 1 August  .
If you will do these things , then I don't think that you need to worry anything ways , because you are in official ways and platform and nothing is problem in the official wallets

If you're saying blockchain.info is some sort of "official wallet" you are sadly mistaken newbie. Maybe do a quick google to see how crappy their security is. Fork = one chain becomes two. You'll already own bitcoins in both. Don't worry about that. The price will go up because bitcoins will be usable for small transactions again. Finally.

Unless you are a Miner, you don't really have to choose sides.

You can choose to hold coins on all the chains that fork off and let the Hashpower duke it out.

There is alot of money to be lost and as I see it, there is only money to be made in one of the following scenarios:

- BIP 148 gets traction and Legacy doesn't Hard Fork. You can dump Legacy. The risk is a hard fork later than expected and an economical win in the exchanges for Legacy.
- BIP 148 is minority and Legacy Hard Forks. You can dump whichever you feel is going to lose economically, not in number of nodes, but in Exchange pricing.

Both are a big risk. I reckon a normal user is actually better off not taking any sides. Also, all the sane economical actors should be running 2 nodes. The only ones who have a choice forced upon them are the Miners.

I would expect to see a strong increase in Hashrate in the previous difficulty adjustment periods, this will make it more difficult for the minority chain to produce blocks.

My actual expectation is that all will be solved way before August 1 though.

Of course you shouldn't be worried about August 1st, as we all know that those were rumors. If it was true, we could have seen the bitcoin falling apart but that's not the case. Its value is raising day by day. That's a clear hint for wise person. People should not stop investing in bitcoin after being afraid of 1st august

personally I am not afraid of August one. becouse august one can be bitcoin dump but I decided that my bitcoin convert to my national currency and when  bitcoin back in to the track then I again convert national currency to bitcoin.

I just wanted to buy more bitcoin, but the issue of bitcoin in August will make me hesitate, but after I consider it is not wrong to take the risk for greater profit. Even if the value is down, we only need to wait for the return of bitcoin.

I guess you do not need to hesitate because if the August 1 will be a breakdown for sure it will rise up high in few days time because the price will go low and some will take advantage to buy some coins in small value. Digital currency is the future and small dips wont be forever. Bitcoin will always be in the rising mode no matter what happen. These are just the stages in making bitcoin stronger than before.

Actually i do not feel afraid of 1st Aug, but i msih ask what will happen on that day, i hope good thing that will happen.
