Afraid of August One?

We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?

I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.

No,its just only FUD spread by big whales to encourage panic selling and to buy bitcoins at cheaper rates.Already,we see now that bitcoin price has started to recover and soon it may even cross $3000.So no need to get afraid.Be patient till august 1.

Never fear bitcoin is near !! With Bitcoin you shouldn't be collecting of you get scared Everytime a little bump comes.
With investments you need to hold on. I think the price might drop once more as we reach 1 August. I'm never selling. Why sel nowl when in years time I can be rich ?

I'm afraid as if the split will be continued then there will be a lot of bitcoin to choose. I just want August 1 will be good and successful so that there will be no more splits and everyone can sleep peacefully now. Because today and from the past weeks I really can't sleep well because of always checking and monitoring the market.

The last two days was the scariest. I moved some of my BTC to buy SONM, Ripples and WAVES lately. I would have to hold all these tokens for profit and maybe move back the BTC when things are all fine.

The alts also seem to be moving in sync with BTC. The uncertainty in Bitcoin has caused a lot of volatility in the entire crypto space. So shifting to alts might not be of much help.

Exactly it was a new fresh start for us users after it. Just prepare on what will going to happen on that day. That split may result good or bad but do not be afraid because that is the part of progress of bitcoin.

An indication of price drops might be a sign of Segwit upcoming event. Yes it might be alarming that from no where, price suddenly drops. But we must just think of the positive way that Segwit might bring to us. It will be just a win or lose situation in other word, pumping or dumping of price. We just have to wait until it happens. But for now the best thing to do is do not panic and trust that everything will comeback to normalor the best thing is we will experience a great pump of price

If only F2pool, Slush Pool, and GBMiners will join the BIP 91 then we wont have any split. But currently we are just 195 blocks away before the BIP 91 lock in. So lets hope and see. If you are a miner working on those 3 pools i have mentioned, then I suggest you move and go to the other miners other than those 3. You can help if you will do that.

I think it will be a good day to buy up Bitcoin and also celebrate because we will be moving forward with better technology. Bitcoin is going to grow up and progress on August 1st.

Exactly im not afraid of it because I believe that this would going to be successful. That segwit was the start of the progress of bitcoin to become more better. Its like a step to a bright future of bitcoin. I think we all just need to be optimistic this time and be prepared on what were going to happen on August 1.

August one is just an economic split right? Anything that is under the economy has whether to inflate or to deflate by time. Yet it is not always to arise, it is same as in our dollar values or any currency conversion as it changes everyday.

before this i never really understand what's going on in 1st august, why the news everywhere and why the people so fear about that but after reading all page in this thread now i understand it's just about system improvement for make bitcoin still live and become better than now, but what make it's become so scary because there is lot of people don't understand about this proposal, like me, i never know and understand about this until i read all of this, it's just normal procedure but with different ways.

I think it will become better situation if there is someone/some btc news blog or site make clear all about what is going on with an easy explanation

Well, I can not deny that. Bitcoin always brings profit and hope to people and investors. Therefore, just hold your bitcoin strongly and wait for the next hard fork. with this incoming day better to really take a closer look if there's some change that will happen a week ago we seen some downfall as we think that it was because of this split so those who have a lots of coins inside their pockets already sold their coins but as always bounce back happen and segwit make a
huge noise so as of now we really don't know what is the real score but one thing is for sure never fear if you believe with your investment just hold and

I agree.We should always do the usual things we are doing,that is earning and holding bitcoins in the wallet.Nothing can stop that not even this August 1st.We are used to bitcoin already and whatever happens,bitcoin will always be the number one cryptocurrency who had helped us so much in a lot of ways.So when that time comes,we should be kept strong.Just have faith in bitcoin.

I ain't afraid of august one because the dominating percentage based on the pie graphs that i saw is BIP91 which is a great news and the only reason why the price of bitcoin is already recovered so fast and just taking off on another price level which is above $2,500 as of now and i hope that i will have a dip again so i can buy more bitcoins  .
