If you store Bitcoin in the online wallet like Blockchain then surely you are scared because it will happen segwit and blockchain will be 2. Keep your Bitcoin in an offline wallet before 1st August so your Bitcoin will not go away.

The currenct price of per Bitcoin is more than 2700 USD each its 2840 Usd per Bitcoin you lost almost 140 USD.  That's good idea that you sold your bitcoins because may bitcoin get split on 1st august and you get very lower price from now. |

It is really odd because only a week left until August 1 and bitcoins price went up back again, almost reached $3000. But at first I really got scared of the August 1 event rumors and speculations and decided to just hold on to my coins and bought some altcoins that dumped. But now that it is closing in and a week left, I wasn't afraid anymore.
The price has climbed because it seems that we are going to finally get segwit activated and we are going to avoid a fork at least for now, so the confidence in bitcoin goes up and everyone is happy once again, even then we need to be careful and wait for a signal from trusted sources that everything is ok. |

A lot people returning to bitcoin while the future isnt very clear yet, sure some people are taking huge risk buying others altcoins expecting it to pump or atleast return to the values before the crash over bitcoin, but remember if bitcoin cross 3000 dollars and reach lets say 4000 we will see a lot blood and some altcoins might die in those progress.

I'm not too hesitant to trade it into fiat until the bitcoin condition after hardfork stabilizes again, the current hacker is targeting all altcoin wallets, making me think to be more vigilant not to exchange many bitcoins into altcoins. Many recent speculations include news that July 24 said that bitcoin trading market in Japan will be closed until the situation stabilizes.

I am not sure whether it was a good investment,because bitcoin is looking stronger than ever and if you would have said this a couple of days back i would have said that you had done a good job,but with the scaling going smoothly till now and the price recovering so fast,i am not sure whether it is a good move. |

What is there to even be afraid of with August 1st? Even with a (remote chance of a) potential chain split and possible network disruption, so what? Even with a subsequent significant drop in price, so what? It's not like the price of bitcoin will continue to freefall. As long as you take the necessary precautions of securing your bitcoins you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Once it all plays out, we'll see what's what and go on from there.

Although still there is a very good potential to the price of bitcoin to increase but i think 2700$ is also good time to sell if you are making some profit from it |

That's good idea that you sold your bitcoins because may bitcoin get split on 1st august and you get very lower price from now. i do not agree with you, because i do not think that there will be any effect of the 1st august on the price of bitcoin and i am sure that after 1st august the price of bitcoin is going to cross 5000$ very soon. as the price of bitcoin is still trading above 2700$ and is really too much stable at that price therefore we are expecting that people are not going to sell their bitcoin but will buy more and therefore the price of bitcoin will also start increasing. |

Price will go up and not go down. If you will see we are still in the midst of a possible split which can result to a creation of Bitcoin Cash (new name). But people adopting to bitcoin is incredibly larger and its speeding up. From India which is booming now in bitcoin adoption, UK with large companies now adopting to bitcoin, Japan made it as legal tender, and many more. TenX company now offering credit card usage with bitcoin as its funding source. So even though there are some uncertainty in the air, still price is going up because it is being overwhelmed by demand for lots and lots of people are moving to bitcoin for this is the future. So buy now before you see the price bull again in a couple of days. Remember that ximply told you so.  |

Whatever will happen in august 1, I know its for the better future of bitcoin. Maybe some are not afraid, they are just making sure that they wont lose part of their investment in case the bitcoin declined.

We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?
I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.
Some of the Bitcoin users are afraid and I saw many of them are in panic and sell there bitcoin in a lower price. But I think that is not the solution you must calmdown and relaxed. Changes happern everywhere, changes is the only permanent thing on Earth. Yes as you can see Bitcoin is now decreasing its value but you must wait 2 weeks, 3 weeks or maybe a month for you to buy or sell Bitcoin safely. Because somehow you may loss your Bitcoin in an instance because of the happening today. But yet it has a good cause to everyone who uses cryptocurrency.Again the word 'wait' is our virtue today |

August 1 is near but the bitcoin and other alt-coins is still strong and continues pumping it's market value, I can't even buy 1 btc for now it's 2771.94 US Dollar now and it is near 3k USD...
