Do Altcoins really have a future?

so I thing many altcoins have a good future.
but every altcoins gets a good future I don't think.

Except ether, the rest is like a trash. I know their price is high but we're in bullish market right now. After all this pump age is done, we will see all altcoins (except ethereum) on the ground like they're dying. Ethereum is the only usable one between them.

Ethereum has got an increased chance of making it better compared to the rest of the altcoins. Till the competence continue the altcoins too have a future, because the trading platform is successful just because of altcoins and their requirement is a must.

It will not be a problem if you are only thinking short-term investment.
Many have made a profit investing in altcoin. You will just need to monitor it and be there when the time is right for the big sell.
Then you could probably make that profit invested into BTC.
In the future they will be useful considering there will be more applications that will be released and some developer might want to use an altcoin instead of bitcoin for light traffic purposes.
The transactions can be faster, I think gambling sites will be the first one to benefit from it.
Then, the users could just trade it back to bitcoin.

I don't understand why some people group all altcoins together. Some of the coins are undoubtedly scams, and many of them offer nothing new or nothing of any real use. However, a lot of them are useful, far beyond just being a store of value. Just looking at 2 and 3 in marketcap...

Blockchain smart contracts surely offer real utility. In which case ETH or something similar will be huge.

And for XRP, instant, low fee international transactions solves a real and current problem. Their whole approach is focused on real world use.

There are many other examples, this is just looking at the top two alts.

I just think it's shortsighted to say that alts are all useless or all scams, when this is clearly not the case. Bitcoin is still king, but there are other members of the royal family.

Altcoin that provide features and services that betters bitcoin will always create a niche for themselves and the future will always be bright. You look at ETH and waves you realize it is possible for all altcoins to grow but first of all the altcoin must bring something to the table that all the other coins does not possess. So i developing an altcoin or promoting an altcoin one needs to look at the gaps in the system and fixed them, this will provide good market access and that altocoin will definately make it. I agree with this. I'm well aware that most of these coins are total scams. They do **** all for the most part. Ridiculous value with zero real world use. Just another wannabe Bitcoin in a different colour/flavour. Or they take something which already exists and is working fine and say "Hey.. look... now it's DECENTRALISED! That's worth a BILLION dollar market cap, yeah?".


However... I do think a few coins will survive. Notably Monero, which is quickly becoming BTC's little brother on the dark net.
And there is some corporate justification for blockchain tech, as the Deloitte partnership with the Waves platform demonstrates. The smart contract stuff might be total bull****, but the token mechanic is very interesting. It will require regulation, but I don't think it's going away.
