In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

Death Penalty, this will be the best punishment for the rapist. For the person who destroy the dignity and the body of women. They don't deserve a life.

Capital Punishment...

rape is the worst happening for a woman life. it is a curse for them. I think this worst experience always keep them themselves in the panic. so the rapist should be punished with a capital punishment. the death penalty is appropriate for them.

in my opinion the death penalty is worthy of applying to the perpetrators of serious crimes that could result in the loss of a person's life, such as robbery with murder or rape accompanied by murder. Death penalty is needed as a deterrent effect for others who have a desire to act evil.

The real punishment for rapists is to be loved, forgiven, cared for; taken by the hand, lead to the right door, have them kneel, bite the curb and kick them in the back of the head.

I will not pretend i know even a fraction of the pain rape victims felt, but i don't think any amount of punishments would actually make a difference. Im not saying the rapists should be left alone.

Rape is a serious crime. Who wants to get raped by the way? In order to lessen rape cases, I think rules or laws regarding rape should be improved and the punishment for rapists should be death penalty. I know that taking away one's life is forbidden but if taking one life just to save the lives of a huge amount of people will be the solution, the be it.

well to be honest, the thought of marrying the victim by her rapist is insane. I prefer the punishment to be death by hanging since they put their victims lives on their hands by doing that cruel act

As a feminist, as a women, as a human being I just can't think about other punishment that life imprisonment,  hanged to death in public or the death penalty. I have read and heard how traumatic and destructive can be rape for a person, so thinking about getting married with a rapist or having his babies is the most disgusting thought ever. I hope someday this topic could have more value because is known that there are a lot of cases where the rapist is left freely just because he is famous or have a good reputation.

Rape is serious, it is not a word that should be thrown around. Rape is for animals, humans are given higher intelligence. Rape victims experience the trauma of what happened to them not just on that moment but carried through to their lifetime, many times affecting their relationship. Castration must be the minimum mandatory punishment. This is to make sure that the criminal does not repeat his crime, even if he is released from prison. Being a female, I must say that rape is far worse than murder or homicide. Murder is relatively quick and may be over in a matter of few seconds. But the trauma and scars from a rape can last an entire lifespan.

An effective solution? My friends and I have been talking about this and the consensus is that rapists should be punished in the following way: Under surgery, the nerves to his penis should be severed so he is unable to achieve an erection or experience any pleasure from the organ. This is a simple operation which can be carried out under local anaesthetic leaving the penis completely and permanently numb.
We don't believe chemical castration is the answer because hormones can be readily obtained to restore virility. We decided that his testicles should be left intact leaving him with the place of awkward vulnerability that all males should have.
Some of us also suggested that he have the word "rapist" tattooed on his forehead.

For me, the punishment that rapists deserve is DEATH SENTENCE!! Women are not weak and they deserve to be treated with respect. Purity is a major issue. Rape takes away women's purity that should only be given to their husband or husband to be. Rapists are selfish because they only think about their own satisfaction rather than giving respect.
They should never be allowed to marry the one they raped. MARRIAGE IS A SACRED UNION BUILT ON LOVE AND TRUST. These elements are absent in a rapist rapee incidence.

Actually I want them for death penalty once it proved that he is guilty of the that crime.
And if ever these death penalty is not available in you country then i can suggest to cut their penis so that they will never do it again.
I dnt think so if other criminals will choose to commit crime like rape if their penis will cut off as payment for their sins. But much better for death penalty.

I'm a bit on the fence here... I'm all for punishing rapists, it is a heinous crime after all... But to actually put them to death? Thank God that we haven't experienced being raped or know a love one raped. I can't imagine the torment. But then again taking a life is a heavy business to do...

Punish for rapist I think death penalty.. Because some of these day there are so many crime happens..
So for the rapist death penalty, to teach some other people not to do bad things..
