How much of a boost would I be getting by flashing my vega56's? Running pretty stable at ~2000 H/s on CNv7 at the moment.

My advice to you is do not flash. Not worth the risk, the time or the potential 50 hashes you would get.

If I may ask, what miner and what settings are you using to get ~2000 H/s? Smiley

Hello,

It's summer in Europe now and my Vega are running really hot now .
I have 21 Vega ( 3 RIG ) in one room running at 1950h/s but at 75-79°C, room temperature is more than 40°C now.

I'm trying to find the best setting for ultralow consumption for this summer even if I lose some hashrate.

For now I'm running at 1222 core and 1025 memory on Vega 64 and 1222 core and 900 memory on Vega 56. Both at 825mV Core and Memory. ( Average 1680h/s). I'm now arround 70°C on each card.

Did someone find better setting for lower consumption ?

As it is, you are pretty much already at very low power consumption settings. I actually run my VEGA56s at 900mV. 825mV is pushing it and that is already evident from your 1600+ hashrate. If you want to reduce temps i would suggest you do the soft power play tables or instead add a third-party way of cooling your GPUs (maybe an external fan will do).

I am in the same situation.  I am balancing hashrate with temperature, too at one of my locations.  Here is what I use for Vega 56.  Make a .reg of the following for each of your GPU's:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Now with OverdriveNTool, try this on each gpu:

Code:
[Profile_0]
Name=Gpu1
GPU_P0=402;800
GPU_P1=692;880
GPU_P2=772;880

Mem_P1=500;800
Mem_P2=800;880
Mem_P3=900;900
Fan_Min=2700
Fan_Max=4000
Fan_Target=75
Fan_Acoustic=2400
Power_Temp=70
Power_Target=-22

That's about as low as my Sapphire's can go.  Of course, YMMV.

With SRBminer I can get the Vegas to run at close to 2100 h/s. Unfortunately that's dreamland currently because the rig is in my attic which gets baking hot these days. So not being able to get the hot air out is more the problem, and less the settings you're running at.

Without proper cooling the Vegas throttle down and ultimately crash. With the current state of profitability I have just decided to shut down the rig during the day (from ~12pm) and turn it on again later in the evening.

If I cannot fight the laws of nature with my logistics, I just cave in to save my hardware.

Another miner from Europe here.

The best option is to go underground. Literally.

I've set my Vega rigs in the basement. Additionally, there is a big fan on the window which pulls hot air out. I have excellent air flow from the colder part of the basement to the warmer room with the Vegas, and out. That is the only way you can survive these hot months in Central Europe.

I am in the same situation.  I am balancing hashrate with temperature, too at one of my locations.  Here is what I use for Vega 56.  Make a .reg of the following for each of your GPU's:

Now with OverdriveNTool, try this on each gpu:

Code:
[Profile_0]
Name=Gpu1
GPU_P0=402;800
GPU_P1=692;880
GPU_P2=772;880
GPU_P3=842;880
GPU_P4=904;880
GPU_P5=1262;880
GPU_P6=1212;905
GPU_P7=1407;935
Mem_P0=167;800
Mem_P1=500;800
Mem_P2=800;880
Mem_P3=900;900
Fan_Min=2700
Fan_Max=4000
Fan_Target=75
Fan_Acoustic=2400
Power_Temp=70
Power_Target=-22

That's about as low as my Sapphire's can go.  Of course, YMMV.

All my card are using this :
[Profile_0]
Name=Vega64
GPU_P0=852;825;0
GPU_P1=991;825;0

Power_Target=0

[Profile_1]
Name=Vega56

GPU_P3=1138;825;0

I can't use 1407 core with 825mV. I'm trying to find the sweet spot but it's hard. I'm the only one trying to use lower core frequency ? Is it possible to go bellow 825mV core?

Another miner from Europe here.

The best option is to go underground. Literally.

I've set my Vega rigs in the basement. Additionally, there is a big fan on the window which pulls hot air out. I have excellent air flow from the colder part of the basement to the warmer room with the Vegas, and out. That is the only way you can survive these hot months in Central Europe.

thanks, unfortunately I can't go underground. May I ask what type of fan are you using for your window ? I'm trying to find a silent one.

I use this one:

You can find similar fans in Lidl, they are cheap and don't make much noise.

Hi guys.

I got a question, is there anyone here that has managed to combind a rig with both rx 580s and Vega 64 in one rig? I know AMD has issues with stability etc, and i dont want to buy more 580s since they are not very good at cryptonight heavy. I want to start using Vegas.

Thank you.

Hey,

i have following problem:

[20:28:00] GPU2 Found Nonce, submitting...

And all the rig is doing it, comletly stable rig. If i close  miners, and start it again, it shows up on pool side. What could be the issue? Running 52 000Hs on Monero Ocean
