Any word on Adrenalin 18.5.1 improving hash rates over older drivers?
does for vega fe, 2200 - 2400 h/s, better than bc drivers

After the V7 fork, I am able to get the following hashrate per each Vega 56: - Cryptonight V7.............1875 H/s .... Miner xmr-stak v 2.4.3 - Cryptonight Heavy ...... 1400 H/s .... Miner xmr-stak v 2.4.3 - Cryptonight: ................ 1900 H/s ..... Miner xmr-stak v 2.4.3 - Etash ............................ 35 MH/s ....... Miner Claymore dual Ethereum + other v 11.7 More info here: http://criptobakery.com/?page_id=101

Gamers are waiting for vega over a year now, and if they dont release mining cards, they are going to be so pissed, because every miner will buy vega, and gamers will not be able to buy any for a long period, thats why IMO they are considering to do some buff on mining cards or unbuff gaming ones. And i think vega is very good for mining, but until today i can not still buy it.

Newegg had powercolor vega 64 cards for $619 before MIR and with a far cry license. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Should be Samsung hbm and a good cooler. If I hadn't just bought asus rog strix I would've picked those up instead.
I'm getting about 20 h/s more per gpu after 18.5.1 driver upgrade.
Currently 2025 h/s vega 64. 1408 core and 1100 memory clocks. I don't know how people hit 2080+ without pushing clocks higher than what I'm at.

Are you using SRBminer? What intensity levels are you using? And how cool is your hbm? My flashed 56's are doing just about 2000 h/s at 1428/1140.

reference cooled V56 performs 1900 (+/- 20) on v7 and ~1300 at cn-heavy algo. (xmr-stak)

I actually run my reference MSI Vega 56s at 1406/1060 and they do ~1850 h/s on cryptonight7. I'm happy with that knowing my GPUs aren't too strained.

I have 2 Vega 56's XFX.
Currently only is used for dual monitors.
Running castxmr I am seeing 1760ish for the card with monitors and 1860ish for the other card.
Mining V7
The one getting 1860
1860~ has 950 Memory, 1408 Core, -1 Power 1760~ has 905 Memory, 1112 Core, -10 Power
Would it help to install the new drivers? I am using the blockchain drivers currently.

Before seeing any good hashrates on vega you'll need to wait out a few updates from claymore to optimize his miners across all different algorithms (mainly claymore's zec and eth miner)

If you can't and haven't tuned for power yet, I am going to assume that you will not be able to change power consumption even with PPTs and you are consuming roughly 250W per GPU, at least this is my case. I am able to get around 6.8kh/s on my 3x Vega FE rig with 18.4.1 and 18.5.1 regular adrenaline drivers, but my power consumption always stays around 750W total no matter what PPT settings I use. Seems like my voltage and min fan settings don't actually apply (but clocks do). With the 18.4.1 pro driver, I got around the same power consumption but hashing less (~6.1kh/s) because memory allocation in xmr-stak was only 13.5GB instead of 16GB like it should be. When I switch to the gaming driver versions, I can use overdriventool and my voltages actually apply to get less power consumption, but memory allocation is only 3.5GB so it hashed significantly less. What is your experience?

I think we need to wait for the consumer cards to get into the wild so the programmers can play with them before we know their real potential. Also the only cards available ATM are the workstation model which are never good for mining compared to the gaming models
