Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

yes you should go to college. There are more opportunities when you are a degree holder.

I think so too. College is a good way to strengthen your credential, and although it may seem difficult, it is actually the easiest way to bolster your standing to be able to gain better jobs and opportunities in general. However, I am not saying that it's all about going to college. I understand that in the US, student loans are killers, especially with sought after degrees. But as I see it, the sacrifice would be worth it.

College is very easy if you actually put in a little bit of work. Everyone who complains about how difficult college is wastes all of their time partying and hanging out.

You should be. In our life, learning don't ever stop and if you do...it's the process of being dumb. We all know that we learn more in life than to a College University but still—you ought to learn the foundations of your critical thinking. You reap what you sow, and so the saying goes, if you can't see the reason why you need to go to college, just you wait. It will be fruitful. College is not about studying, it's a test of how awesome your will is.

For me, of course it’s a yes. I’m currently on my junior college and yes it’s no fun but that’s the challenge of being in college. You will have to endure all the sleepless nights, stress, failures and such but these things are not permanent. After dealing and overcoming these, this would taught you to become a strong and corporate ready to face the real world. College will teach you how to be an independent person and how to deal those stress coming from academics stuff but that is only a challenge that every college student encounters. Personally, I have a love-hate relationship with college but guess what, I’m enjoying it. I love being with my college friends and overcoming all the challenges together. College not just teaches you academics stuff, it also teaches you about what you need to know about life.

Dont do it unless your family is loaded and you can secure a high paying job afterwards. Otherwise you are going to be left with a mountain of debt and no job that will help you pay that mountain. Instead I would say get

into trades and get a skill like that or get certified some other way for another job that wont have you $250,000 in debt when all said and done. You can get great careers for less than $5000 and then you wont be stressed

your whole life either trying to worry about paying that off. GL!

If you can afford and you love the course you want to get of course you should go to college and besides graduating is not only for your self or for your future it is a token of appreciation to your parents after all the hard work they have done for you and when you get a decent job that is the time they will feel secure for your welfare because they know that they raised you very well.

Depends. If you're confident with your skills and plan in life. First know what career you want to achieve, some may not even need a degree. While most would.

One thing you need to learn is that college is not a race, and you dont always need a degree to be successful.

of course you should go to college so that you can get a degree and stable job. Nowadays you can't get a stable job if you're not a college graduate.

When you are young and your parents can support your education expenses like tuition fees you should go to college. Not all people can afford to go to college some are set aside their dreams to help there parents.

We do not necessarily have to go to college for a bright future, there are ways to be rich, but there is an easy way to get rich quick, that is the way of college, so we need to try to learn later became the fastest rich man.

Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?
Can you tell me what hinders you from entering college? The problem with most youths nowadays is when they are earning decent, they slack off getting into college or they are having dillemmas as to wheter or not to continue studying or not. Please don't get me wrong here, I am not angry or whatever but in my opinion, your education is far more better than when you are earning. It is very different having finished college than not.
Best advise. Finish school.

Would definitely recommend going to college as It opens a lot of doors, you can still do what you like if you are able to manage your time correctly which is the hardest part!

Of course, whether it's useful or not, it's good to be in a position to take advantage where college is required.
