I think it is because of the sudden increase of bitcoin's value. No one has ever imagined that thing would end up like that since the value of it in the beginning was very low compared to what it has right now. The volatility of bitcoin's value is also what makes more investors attracted to bitcoin and I think that is a good thing since the value may become higher as time passes by.
