I think bitcoin is so popular because it is the first crypto currency on the world, from that more and more know about bitcoin and start buying it, so that makes bitcoin price rise more and more, until it become very popular now.
Bitcoin is the most popular Type of cryptocurrency because bitcoin is the first digital currency that has launched in digital world. Aside from that bitcoin also is the cryptocurrency that many investors choose to invest with and trust their fiat to buy bitcoin hoping for a high profitable return of investments they would be earned due also bitcoin has this promise of returning their capital doubled or tripled. |

I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
Bitcoin is very unique, it is not affected by the country's rising or falling economy. Not controlled by anyone, and of course bitcoin security is very strong. |

There are mainly two reasons why Bitcoin remains as the most popular crypto-currency out there. These are:
1. Bitcoin was the original crypto-currency. Other alts such as ETH and BCH are at least partially based on Bitcoin.
2. Most of the trading for the other crypto-currencies (perhaps with the exception of BCH) comes from trading versus BTC. Alt vs fiat trade volumes are quite low.

I think it is because of it volatility, because of this, bitcoins price is always on the move, going on an up trend and down trend continuously. This quality of bitcoin makes it a great advantage for every traders, and the traders are taking it and using it to the fullest. One more thing, bitcoins price is mostly on an up trend. |
