pretend lightning networks works well for btc, then miners wont be needed for btc network? bc mostly transactions would be done off main chain?

Some people mine to speculate on future performance. Some people mine to accumulate their favorite coin. Some people are just brand loyal. Not everyone mines to dump for fiat, ASAP.

take this 1 step further, for the long shot, 5-10yrs from now, high chance btc and bch still co-exists, btc with LN where as bch with larger blocks, both capable of high transactions speeds, 100,000 or more, probably btc and bch will become mainstream and miners will keep hopping on whats most profitable.

Bch does solve the scalability problem that btc is facing right now, especially the fees is ridiculous in btc, hopefully they come out with something soon. But it takes years for btc,ltc, and many others to reach the market cap where they are now. Its crazy how quickly bch, and bitcoin gold, and many other bitcoin baby will reach top market cap so soon, just months.
