The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Thinking:

The discussion about whether BCH is 'Bitcoin' or not is completely based on individual terms (but shows the activated individual thinking process - at least).

Sure BTC has the first mover advantage, but codebase and road map differs a lot from the Satoshi Whitepaper.

We will see that the masses on the planet will define, what their Bitcoin will be in some years.

And the masses are mostly poor and will not use a high fee solution.

LN does not work for the masses (it is not even ready) ...

Anyone needs to make up own conclusions on that

Anyone needs to MAKE Bitcoin work for himself.

Wow so much talk about bitcoin cash as it gains market share from bitcoin. I sure wish this would send a strong signal to the bitcoin community that they should start talking about how to improve on the OG bitcoin.

Although as I write that I start to worry that bitcoin cash isn't really doing much more to improve its original advancements either. Maybe this is the flaw of decentralized currencies in general. If they don't have some sort of mechanism for improvement, they flounder and stagnate.
Have you checked out https://memo.cash
Social network & wallet on the BCH blockchain, send messages and BCH easily. (still in alpha)
great way to start....lots of potential ideas coming true very fast, (voting and governance could somehow be introduced).

https://cointext.io/
Bitcoin Cash Over SMS
Transact Bitcoin Cash (BCH) with any type of mobile phone using simple text commands without Internet, apps, accounts or passwords.

32mb fork in under 4weeks...

zk snarks privacy sometime in the future(hoping for this year)

and lots more.
32 mb block, they are even hardly having 0.3 MB blocks. For me its just another big Pump and dump scheme ( I dont know if it will be big like in november). All exchanges will close deposits and withdrawals and than the show will go on. And I still think and it looks like we will have even one pump and dump case before 15th of the may. And thats the only value in BCH, just because whatever point they will reach it will go down for the couple months after 15th of the may. Just in case I bought about 10 BCH at 0.1 and mine sell point is at 0.25, but I still think that it can reach about 0.4 till 16th of may.

And you cut the rest of the reply market cap assumes every asset/token/coin carries the same value which is false as many are lost and you have to presume that BCH has a lot more lost than BTC simply because every BTC lost is also lost under BCH plus any that was lost during the fork from people trying to split and failing to not even attempting and sending BCH to segwit addresses etc etc

As you said previously, there is less BCH in circulation than og btc...
and now this, creating even more scarcity on BCH..interesting  Smiley

I was wondering...what would happen if oneday in the future...
BCH nodes were given 1% of miners rewards (with miners permission)

or if the miners agree to burn 12% but instead of burning BCH nodes get the 12%
or ...maybe a weekly/daily lottery, everyones buys BCH and winner gets the 12%... or set-up a smart contract on BCH for charities..

What type of impact would that have?
(just a thought , not a debate)

another thought,
another future usecase for MEMO...use trusted memo users as an escrow service...

Yes now any coin even with the small working team seems to me goes up. Frankly speaking only absolutely patients do not grow now. Very much reminds last year in the same season.

I'm afraid Bitcoin Cash is about to take off in the coming months. Do you have a good bargain? If not, please rush to buy, hold, wait for huge profits to pull up.

Not pump imo....it is....

serious correction....
mass awakening...
people want this hi-tech, state of the art innovation....
a truly undervalued asset....
(want to use cointext...want to use memo...gotta have them BCH..
want to create new BCH dapps...want to share your ideas...gotta have them BCH)

From a traders pov....this year...
BCH now has enough liquidity to handle the volume...
also on every major exchange ..paired with fiat
opportunity to 3x - 5x - 10x their investment is higher on BCH than og btc,
$1k to $3k , 3x is easily achieved...
5x to $5k we all know that is possible(already happened)....
10x to $10k+....will happen too...
so...
og btc 3x would require a new ath around $25k...
any more requires major investment and confidence from all(not happening now, too late)
