Zen Version 2.0.11
Very important reminder! All users running the ZEND and ZenCash Swing Wallet software must update to Zen 2.0.11 by April 10th. Secure node operators should update to the new version by block 290076. Operators should also upgrade to the new tracker version 0.2.1. View more details on how to download upgrades on our blog.


New White Papers Coming Soon
We're creating multiple project specific white papers for our Secure Nodes v2, ZenHide, ZenPub, etc. which will be consistently updated on our wiki. At the biweekly on Wednesday, we will describe a multi-tier node system and publish a new white paper shortly thereafter.
What is ZenGrid? A computation for higher service. We want to offer more opportunities for node operators to earn more income and increase streams of revenue by using all our Zen storage.


Secure Nodes
We are still so excited about 8,500+ Secure Nodes in three months! You can keep track of the stats and watch the number of registered nodes on a monthly and weekly basis. Thank you to our operators for being a part of this growth.

We've completed initial on-chain design specs for version 0.2.1 and will release a white paper describing the new architecture that includes side-chaining for tracking, payments and more. We also continue to refine the way the trackers on the nodes connect to the servers, working on certificate checks, and payout claims to node operators.

Core developments: 
    Six version upgrades from ZCash upstream are in our development environment. We plan to move it to test net next week.
    Users will be able to add arbitrary data to the chain which will allow us to integrate other cool projects like FlowCrypt. 
User-friendly wallets:
    We're currently in the third week of our six sprints, almost halfway through! There will be full-node, light-client and web wallets with mobile wallets coming soon with a consistent, user-friendly interface.
    We continue to test the ledger hardware wallet with real funds and are still working on OpenBazaar integration.
    Our support system is in beta testing. Help us test it out by submitting issues and questions. 

Research and Development
Feedback from you, our community, is so important. 43% of you said our Input Output Hong Kong partnership is your favorite new website feature, so we'll be sure to keep you up to date as as much as possible. We held an on-site working session with IOHK and InfoPulse on March 23rd in Kiev, Ukraine where our engineers met with their cryptographers and governance team to work on migrating the prototype of our voting system to a protocol. The #zenspiration art contest winners were selected by the community. There was even a tie between the top two winners! - Small visual fixes.
- "Show zero balance" checkbox is checked by default for better UX.

I have upgraded my ZEN wallet to version 1.1.5, which actually gives me better visual experience. Of course, I don't have more than 1000 ZENs to try sending such a huge amount of coins. Nevertheless, I think that if new version of ZENcash wallet can completely fix bugs related to limited amount of coins to send on ZEN network, it will be great news for whales (who usually own lots of coins and need to move their coins as fast as possible.)

All depends on how much securenodes and supernodes will be on network
Mean - currently there is 8773 SecureNodes ( according to sectracker site)
8773 nodes with at least 42.1 ZEN locked (42 collateral and 0.1 at least for challenges )
8773 * 42.1 = ~369400 ZEN locked

Not all securenodes will "migrate" to super - just cause not everyone holds in his hand 500+ coins - and not everyone wants deal with sharenodes and so on.

12.5 ZEN per block - each block every 2.5 min - 60 / 2.5 = 24 blocks per hour or 24 * 24 = 576 block per day
12.5 * 576 = 7200 ZEN mined each day
Currently 3.5% for supernodes = 7200 * 3.5% = 252 ZEN / day
So currently with 8773 nodes we have 252 for all 8773 (in fact not all nodes 92% uptime , not all pass challenge) but 252 / 8773 = 0.0287 ZEN / day per node

Counting only active - 8392 = 252 / 8392 = 0.003
There is at least 177 domains on secnodetracker with 12 nodes and more
Also there is domains holding more then 12 nodes :
At least 299 nodes can be created on domains with more then 12 nodes.
For start – let’s fix 300 super nodes will be created.

So we have currently locked 369 400 ZEN and some of them will be relocked with supernodes :
300 supernodes = 300 * 500 = 150 000 ZEN
Rest will stick with securenodes – 369400 – 150000 = 219400 and it is approx. 219400/42.1 = 5211 securenodes.

And now the final – both securenodes and supernodes will get 10% from daily rewards – (12.5 ZEN / block and 576 blocks per day = 7200 ZEN / day)
So supernodes and securenodes will start getting both – 720 ZEN
Supernodes – estimated 300 supernodes = 720 / 300 = 2,4 ZEN /day for each supernode
Securenodes – estimated 5211 securenodes = 720 / 5211 = 0,138 ZEN / day for each supernode

Also if you holds more then 500 coins (for example you have 12 securenodes) – you can
- stay with 12 securenodes – get 0.138 * 12 = 1,656 ZEN / day or 49,68 ZEN / month and with current exchange rate $/BTC 6850 and ZEN/BTC 0.00295 ($ / ZEN 20,20) of it can be 49.68 * 20.20 = ~1003 $ – subtract VPS hosting – at least 8-10$ per each node 1003 – 120 = ~880 $ or ~43 ZEN leftover )

- combine them into 1 SuperNode – get 2.4 ZEN / day or 72 ZEN / month = 72 ZEN * 20.20 $ = ~1454 $ - hosting for SuperNodes – Dedicated server should cost at least 40-50 $ / month so 1454 – 50 = 1404 $ or some 70 ZEN leftover …
