Just saying....
WDC has a block time of 15s and a reward of 32. So in 24 hours, 184,320 coins are added.
DGC has a block time of 20s and a reward of 20. So in 24 hours, 86,400 coins are added.

Now DGC had a fair launch. (Block rewards start off lower and slowly rise to the value they are now)
While WDC had a normal launch. (Initial miners get huge rewards)

WDC had a lot more coins when it was at the block that DGC is now.
WDC has a lot more coins right now compared to DGC and it's supply growing much faster than DGC.

Just looking at supply (and future supply) , DGC clearly has the upper advantage.
Only a matter of time until demand catches up.

The best part though is WDC still has a higher hash rate, secondly given the fact that it has about 8X more coins it's still more valuable than DGC lol. Whereas given to supply and demand DGC should be about 8X more in price.

WDC R.I.P

WDC should stablize around .0002 - .00035 based on the market cap.
No coin will succeed this early just because it was released well, or has a certain name.

That part comes later with work... for any coin.

That is the best part but give it time. DGC has been steadily rising in Hash rate and WDC seems to not have many more buyers.

There is no reason to choose DGC over WDC and vice versa. Frankly it looks like they are both going to tank. So much for the fair launch theory..

If you say so, buy orders are not too bad for DGC. It's not skyrocketing up but not many in the community really wanted it to hit exchanges yet anyway and many in the community are the ones buying the coins from  early dumpers.

And I don't think you can say the theory has failed until the currency has actually failed. It's a new theory and it may come with different results. We are all just experimenting in this new type of currency Smiley

By "deleting and reinstalling", you mean the wallet program itself, right? Try deleting blkindex.dat from the wallet data folder, which will likely be located at:

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Worldcoin\

You may want to backup the wallet.dat in that folder first.

This is a very flawed analysis. The number of coins produced varies with difficulty. Check the block chain yourself for WDC, when the difficulty was above 10 the number of coins produced per minute was 90 whereas it was 140 per minute when the difficulty was lower. Go look for yourself.

DGC is a slower version of WDC and hasn't got any advantages over WDC.

Why nearly all miners think only about himself with a timeframe of 10 seconds? Don't you see a little longer in the future? If we want this coin to grow we must act as a community, protecting the coin and helping growing it up.
Here is my personal list of things to do to support WDC and help it to not fail (it's our interest, right?):

  • Don't dump your mined coin immediately, if you're smart and believe in this coin you have to mine and don't waste WDC you generate at lower and lower prices. If we'll work well then, in months, WDC will maybe be exchanged at a much higher value. Then you can begin selling them, not all togheter.
Think about first people who believed in bitcoin and mined more than a bitcoin a day... If they sold them immediately like you're doing now... Miner that had a believe in bitcoin now are nearly rich!
  • WDC must be used for real world transactions, if this will not be true in the near future the coin will be dead. It must have a real value. Now all people mine and sell WDC for BTC, this is what will get the price to drop. All who can help (developers!) are welcome to build smartphone apps and all kind of software that can help real world operation with this coin.
  • Set a donation to pool operator, expecially when it ha 0% fee like worldcoinpool.com (pool operators work much and have expenses.... Who likes to work for nothing???). Donating we are supporting their work
and chances that they continue doing it is higher

Let's grow WorldCoin! Don't sell all WDC you're generating! Or if you do set a high price... Wink

Why.
Why?
Let's say you mine Worldcoin and you have generated so far 1000 WDC. Today they are worth 0.3133 BTC (mcxnow quotation of 0.0003132 BTC) or 39.5 USD (mtgox quotation of 126.15854).
If we all work and believe in this coin tomorrow 1 WDC can be worth, let's say, 0.01 BTC. If that will be the case your 1000 WDC will be equal to 1,261 USD Smiley
If the work better they can be worth 0.1 BTC, and you'll have 12,615 USD.

We must work togheter.

You don't seem to understand the concept of pump and dump. If people wanted a mine and hold coin, they'd use an established coin like btc or ltc. World coin adds nothing innovative or established. You are left holding the bag my friend, I recommend you sell. For every one person who makes money on these new alt coins there's at least 10 people too embarrassed to admit they lost money and are left holding the bag.

I think of my own welfare, not the society's. Seems that everyone is dumping, if i don't sell now, i'll lose out. True story.

Why?
Let's say you blah blah blah

Let's say you traded your WDC for a coin that has better chances of growing, and then hold that.

There was this old documentary that showed how a tribe hunted monkeys by putting a chunk of salt in a small hole -- the monkeys would grab the salt and then wouldn't be able to pull the hand out to run away, cos they were too greedy to let go. A lot of these new alts are the same.

Guys, go vote in the Vircurex thread in "Alternate cryptocurrencies".  They could add WDC.
