Coinchoose.com and wheretomine.com shows 19.2 coins pre block reward?! Is this real or some bug?
THe block payout is still 32. The guy who runs coinchoose.com made the decision to cut the expected payout to 60% (32*0.60=19.2) because miners were only getting about 60% of the expected payout. This is due to the short block time and relatively low difficulty, but some miners are having more success. If you are happy with your payouts and confident in WDC you don't need to stop mining.

why is dgc seemingly doing a lot better than wdc? anyone have any ideas on that, both are good coins so why is one pulling ahead right now?
I heard its because there's a few cashed up individuals that are making a concerted effort to make it succeed. Once the 'happy miner' patch is applied to WDC we should see more interest in it & prices should rise. What will the patch do exactly, and when is it going live?

DGC is not doing "better," there are just more WDC in circulation which keeps the price down I think.
Also, I noticed today on coinchoose that WDC has block rewards listed as 19.2 per block mined.
What about DGC, why isn't that listed at 60% on coinchoose too?

Miners have not talked to the same extent about missing mining rewards like they have for WDC. Coinchoose said they(he) would be looking into whether other currencies suffer similar deficits.

the 60% may have just been a result of the low difficulty. Most miners are claiming it's now about 90%. I'm doing more tests to see if that is correct on my end. Should have results in a couple of days.

Details of the patch are sketchy atm however I do know the patch will be addressing orphans & there will be enhanced retargeting. As I understand it, there are also a number of individuals (programmers/coders) who are keen to take over the coins development, and that they have some major changes in store should they be successful.

I don't see how coinchoose can change it to 60% because one person creates a topic on worldcoinforum about it claiming to speak on behalf of everyone.
At the very least make a forum poll and see the results from the community. Undoubtedly the amount received is less than 100% but I would place it in the 80-90% range.

depending on my mining it experience, the rewards seem to vary... pool 1 : 60% of earnings (give or take 1%) pool 2 : 90% of earnings (give or take 1%) it depends on the pool configuration i guess, both are pushpools

I agree it seems a little quick to just make the change. When we calculated the 60%, it was multiple miners and pool operators that had agreed on the number. Again, this was in the very low difficulty days, and im pretty sure that number has changed to 90% since then. Running more tests to confirm, will take a couple days.

I did apply the different stale rate calc (explained here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=152515.msg2359633#msg2359633) in a seperate column while retaining the original profitability calc as well. Users can "choose" which one to rely on.

Hey guys I keep getting the following error when I try to restore my backed up wallet file... Any idea what is causing it? I've tried several computers. My balance appears ok (as unconfirmed) and it seems to happen as soon as the client starts downloading the blockchain.

Just had to download the blockchain first, then copy across the wallet file, then it keeps downloading the blockchain again.
