I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?

Money is a surething ware  for every living person but for me money comes in secondary needs after god.
The reason why dishonesty has became common in this world is forgetting our god to worship.
We must pray our god before hanging ourselves in money.

Money is just a tool for ensuring my life and then one who i love. It will never be above respect and values, it doesnt makes me better than others. I work hard for it, but never measure me for the amount of money i have, i'm like all of you guys.

Money is not that important if you cannot live a long life. for me spiritually rich is more important than searching for luxury in the world that everyone wish for. Of course we need money to live and survive but what is enough is more than enough for me.

At this point for a majority of the western world there is nothing more interesting than materialistic pursuits, and individualistic at that. There is nothing more than money for them because, simply put, they have nothing else to believe in. It's basically just hedonism and degeneracy weakening a society which will collapse and said money will become worthless, ah but what the hell does it matter anymore. Everyone is interested in money for something, but for a majority of the users on this forum I would be willing to bet they do not care for their kids or anything down the line. It will be a self-serving mindset till the day they die.

Shame we have no strong leaders or countries anymore.

There was ancient times when man could get everything from the nature. Food (more than sufficient), Water (Sweet oceans everywhere), and shelter (plenty of hills).

That man had no desires of having more comfort in life, the primary purpose was same for him and us. The only difference was he had everything he always wanted but without any condition. Today you need food in way you want, deliciously cooked, hot and filled with kilos of cheese on it. So if course you have to pay for that because it costs money to make it that way.

Same case with water, you need it sterile, processed with minerals while the previous man use to drink from same sources as the animals used to. So here you go, you need money for that.

Shelter, oh meh! You need a classy home with air conditioning atmosphere and guess what ancients were happy with natural coldness. So pay again for your comfort.

You need money for happiness and you only created this world where you need money to buy everything. People are saying that money is secondary. NO! That's bullish, live without money a day and let's see how you survive. Hope that make sense why most them are speaking about money all the time.

Money is the basic need to be able to live. How can you buy food  or everything you in your daily without money.
Money can dictate a person whether he will do crime  or not. Money is the main thing to do evil works.

Money is very important in our living because we use it to support our daily needs. We earn money to buy what we want. Some people are overrated and want more money to buy luxuries items they want. But they didn't realize that money is limited and temporary. We can't bring our money after we die. Other use this money to control and follow everything they want.

Food is above all others. To have food at right times, you must have enough money. Lion can be a king of jungle but there will be no guarantee that it can eat on time because there is no civilization and hence no momentary system system in jungle.

After civilization, momentary system found its importance and from that people invented a comfortable life style. If you have money then you can eat at your preferred time. Without food, there will be no possibilities of surviving. That is the reason, people are not giving importance to God and prayers but to earning methods.

Bitcoin must be a revolution here. After 1000s of years, human again entering into a decentralized momentary system. It will completely change how a person do see/save/live with a momentary system.

I do not know why one can not earn a little money to sustain himself and not praise God a little bit later. The God has said to leave one day a week for him only if your money making endavours are making you blind of the spiritual world.

Sadly its not the way you are describing it. Its the other way around. If one had not a God in his heart, he will seek the ways to fill the void. If you are having a void in the heart and you need money clearly more than anyone else has, and its clearly more than you would ever need. Boy... you have a problem here.

About the parents. Without me my mother would not survive financially, and would be kicked out from her house for not being able to pay any bill. I have a riddle for you. If I would not earn enough money, and I would be bitter to help her - would I honor her that way?

Btw. God has said to be charitable. Another thing he had said to not be burden to others. How to be charitable and not be a burden to other having nothing?

The world is an awful place, we should try be least awful as possible, but saying that a christian cannot think about money, is driving people away from christianity, as it is completly impossible. Give us a way how to and not condemn people for doing it ok? Christian should not be an obscenely rich - thats true, but define that. What if someone wants money not to need it in the future? Because thats the only way not to need money - to have them enough to buy yourself a sustainability.

I'd say money over most things to meet your basic needs (food and shelter).  Once they are met, then social interactions become more important.  I think things like going to church are based more on belief than potential income.  People that aren't religious aren't going to do that regardless of their financial situation.

It can give happiness since we can buy things we wanted,we can travel and we can help those who are in need, but life is not all about Money,  money sometimes makes once life ruined or family broken. It will depend maybe on how we lived and experience of living. Sometimes when we have money or we keep on working to have money we forget to have a life,we have a family to be bond with and friends and obigations to ourselves. We should balance our priorities don't focus too much on money.

Of course not, God is above all things and there's no such thing that can surpass God. Maybe some people is patronizing money so much that they fail to remember God but you can't see or judge people in general. There's still some people here who maybe searching for money but still they are not forgetting God and attending mass every sunday in church.

Your on Bitcointalk, Bitcoin= money, so your pretty much on a forum that is made for talking about money, and even better still your on the part of the forum "economics" which is the part that talks about money.

There is no doubt that money is super important to us, but what you are asking here is whether money should be that important. Money provides life, but sometimes people will spend too much time trying to earn money. This is an important dilemma that people are faced.

Exactly right say. Nowadays Money is above from all thing. Everything depends on money. If you have no money people do not respect you. If you have much money so you will be the King. Everybody will respect you.

I disagree with this point. First, some people may respect you for other qualities than money. For instance, for you being smart or raising good kids. Secondly, if you have a lot of money that doesn't mean everyone respects you. Some people may even despise you, because you probably got your money in some evil unfair way. Finally, the one thing  money surely doesn't give you is happiness. And that is quite a problem, because poor people may be unhappy and at least have reasons for that, whereas when people who can afford everything realize they can't buy happiness, it is likely to end up with a serious depression or even a suicide.

Not every body is a religious person, so don't judge them. Not all people go to church is a good person. Even Pope Franscis say “If I say I am Catholic and go to mass, but then don’t speak with my parents, help my grandparents or the poor, go and see those who are sick, this does not prove my faith, there’s no point,” Money might blind some people but not all of them.
