I can understand your frustration since I experienced similar stuff several times already so far. The worst one was watching some random dude turn 10 bucks into 100 grand when I couldn't even win a 1.02 surebet.

Skill does help to some extent, but luck is the bigger factor in comparison when it comes to sports betting and this is a lesson that I learnt a long, long time ago.

Even when we've chosen the odds after hard analysis we end up losing, but the person who went with the higher odds enjoy the win. Jesus Christ, 172 odds and a good 50 bucks bet at that as well, not a tiny one we see usually. Not a bad amount, getting 9k out of 50 bucks. I just did a 10 bucks one for example which had 7.40 odds and already lost, lol. It's sports and sometimes you could have a 1.10 odd guaranteed looking game and still end up losing. Remember last year when Sheriff managed to beat Real Madrid?

I mean I do not remember the odds of that game, but it feels like it must have been something small like 1.10 for real or something like that, and people were wrong, such an easy game to lose. That’s why I am not bothered by my loss, but seeing these huge wins does make me feel upset just a bit about my loss lol.

In any gambling game luck is always going to be a major factor, and I know that it can seem to be really unfair that a person may win such a massive amount of money out of such a small bet while we cannot win a bet with much better odds, but that is just the way gambling works and it is in fact one of the factors that makes it so exciting, since the big win could always be around the corner and the only thing you need in order to get it is to have luck on your side during that day.

I think they still need to take care some legal action, for "US Player". Since we all know, US Player is really getting a restricted for playing in online-casino like the same player from UK.

Everything is finalized.. because the site is up and running. This site cannot be preparation for a fully functional site in the future, because online casino legislation does not allow for it in most of the States. (Even now... some States do not even allow access to this US site)

I asked this question... "How is Stake making money on the Stake.us site" and one of the mods warned me not to talk about a site that are not owned by Stake. He said... no further discussion is allowed about this.... but when I visited the site, you could see the US chat channel... (behind the banner that pops up to say that only US citizens can play there).... and I saw this mod in that chat.

So I guess this is a sensitive matter.... and I asked the wrong question. So let's just leave it there.... and hope that we find out more in the future.

Can anybody tell me how Stake.com is making money on their US site? So, from what I understand, the players are not paying to play..but it works on a sweepstakes principle.

Promotional based situation? Like they are using it to do promotions and they are not actually after directly making money from it? For example, Walmart wasn't a big grocery store chain when it first started, and the idea was to make no profit or even a bit of a loss on stuff like bread or milk like what people buy every day, and then get them on the door to constantly buy those daily stuff, to make them buy other stuff as well which you will make profit from in bulk.

Now, they make profit on everything. So stake US version would be just to get people in the door, and then stake.com be there to make sure that everyone could lose money to them on house edge, as a promotional way basically.

Amazing giveaway! Firstly, I'm a big fan of the 2014 New Zealand mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows. I haven't watched the same-titled U.S. TV series , but I think it's also great, maybe I'll check it out some time in the future.

maybe there are different operators on different networks, that's why he doesn't access it, a safer alternative than a VPN is to set DNS but I don't recommend it because your account could be problematic

We have a little (50+ people) group of friends that play at Stake, most of them was referred by me ...and we even have a local Stake WhatsApp group, where we share ideas / strategies / brag about wins etc... etc.

The latest topic of discussion on this group is about the "decline in Tips & Rain" over the last two years. When these people signed up, there were no "verification" and "wager requirements" to receive "rain" .....and they regularly received it. (even sharing it with others, if it was a big amount)

During the last 2 years or so... lots of them started to notice that there are a massive decline in "Rain & Tips" in the chat channels. The discussions highlighted several contributing factors :

1. Verification requirements - You now have to be LVL 2 verified to receive rain. This created a split, where people that are not verified, possibly decided not to rain anymore ...because they cannot receive rain. The people who are verified... are much less than what it was when there was no split.

2. Wager requirements - You now have to wager $3000 in 7 days to be eligible for rain. Many people do not wager $3000 per week, so they do not care about rain.

3. Rain limits - Now, do not quote me on this, but it seems as though minimum limits were introduced on the amount you can rain. I remember the days where I could rain $10cents to 10 people.... but when I try this now.. it says the amount is to low. (On Ethereum it was something like $8+.... the last time I tried)

4. Less people are winning - The aim of "Rain" is to share your joy, when you hit something big. Looking at the chat and the wins that are reported, it seems as though there are a lot less people winning lately. (not my opinion.. but a collective observation  of this group)

5. Increase in active players - When I started at Stake, we averaged between 2000 to 3000 people being online for most of the day... now we see days where it is between 10 000 to 19 000. (So your chances of receiving rain, has decreased dramatically)

Most of these guys are Level 2 verified and they wager way more than $3000 in 7 days... they are also active in the chat, but they are lucky to receive 3 to 5 rains in a week now. (previously it was 4 to 5 rains per person per day)

I do not really care about rains although sometime I see huge rains from whales who have just won a decent amount.
The reason why I do not really care about chatroom anymore is because of its traffic, it is just too fast and I cant even enjoy communicating with others.
So many active chatters even in local chat room and most of the time it is hard to follow the discussion.

Very detailed post. I haven't been playing at Stake a lot in recent times since I am having more fun playing at rival sites, but I did notice the drop in rains too recently though I never really cared about them to begin with.

I tend to focus more on bonuses and promotions when compared to rains since I feel that they are a complete waste of time.

Yes Discussions in chatrooms are very difficult for additional site traffic. and there are many problems with local chatrooms also. So I always avoid chatroom.  Because I know that if I go there to do any kind of communication, my message will be lost in a moment and I will not get any reply to my message.
