A couple of quick question guys : is KYC mandatory , random or are there specific situations that trigger that control?
Also would like to know if, like it happens on some other gambling sites, each and every fund deposited ( or received as tip , bonus and in every other way) has to be wagered 1x before getting withdrawable ?

KYC isn't mandatory on Stake. You would be asked KYC if they found out there is something suspicious with your account (money laundering, won through bug, etc).
Not sure about last one, i ever heard that wagered 1x but forgot which site must compete that to prevent money laundering thing.

That's right. You can gamble freely in stake without forcing you KYC unless you're doing things suspiciously and you're caught by them.

Why would you deposit if you're not going to use it? I think I get your point and this can be considered as mixing. But for the rest, you're free to withdraw it as long as they don't see anything suspicious with it.

I'm just a recreational small gambler, currently I'm at 3012th on this race and I hope I'll stay to be on the top 5,000 when it is ended.
I believe there are some bitcointalk members who are actively playing on Stake but to be on Top 10-100, I doubt we will see bitcointalk members on that position by the end of the race but of course I hope to see it.

You can see up to top 39 only (+1 our own position) and I do not think there is a way to see all the 5,000 positions.

Its pretty much same in all the gambling sites, if the win came from a bug on their odds then the sites may or may not reward the people but its their own decision. And money laundering is pretty much possible on gambling sites because the user can deposit huge amount then wager a small amount then can withdraw the remaining funds.

For sure one I remember is Luckyb.it ( missing it a lot  ) : they  had implemented that measure either for deposit, tip, each and any bonus , race wins basically on every money that transiting on your balance for any reason.

For example if a player is top 300, it would encourage him to strive to get to the top 250 if he have a target to beat.

It's beneficial for those who have no problem with that and for those that are thinking of not, they might think again and consider joining it through that condition and have the double prize amount that has been set.
There's still a choice for those who are okay with it and those who are not and yeah, it's not forced unless you want to be eligible with the condition.

@Kakmakr you forgot Eddie live streams and those rains given by those whales in the chat, hence one can always recover his loses if he sticks around. Also gambling is risky but if you can learn which funds to gamble with, you can go long way in gambling and that’s why making a fixed budget for gambling is very important.

You're right, Eddie's live broadcasts are spectacular, you also can't forget that you have to be active in the stake.com forum, I've gotten a lot of learning from there on the forum, some whales who bet comment on their way of playing, and of how they face certain plays that for me are difficult to face, especially when you are not a whale.

They've learned or manage to control their emotions and with good amount of bankroll they can easily cope up to whatever difficulty they are facing, it's hard for small gamblers but to them who are willing to take the risk it's not hard as long as they understand their capabilities.

Lots of promotions that really encourage all those old and new gamblers to keep chasing for that decent earnings.

I think eddie letting it rain is not a big deal, that is not a way to recover your losses, I get that it is not a bad amount but it is not a big amount neither and you have to be losing just few dollars if you think that's good enough to recover, for people like me (and I am a small shrimp compared to real whales) who plays like 50-100 dollars per month and loses it, what eddie rains never that much, I joined a few times but it was both boring and also wasn't raining that much.

The term about that can be found here: Receive Winnings No. 17

"The deposit amount needs to be wagered one time on any of our products before it can be withdrawn."

In layman's terms, you just need to simply play with your first received funds, either by deposit or via tip by someone else. No wagering requirement to trigger the withdraw.

So as a casino they shouldn't force their user to do a mandatory KYC since many gamblers are truly sensitive regarding on this issuance, Maybe the least they can do is level 1 KYC which only require to provide their phone number and address since this is much better than giving your personal ID. But so far stake is doing good in this matter so there's no need to debate regarding on this discussion since this is not an issue after all.
