Don't be fooled by the ranking system... there are some users who just played for a very long time and they ranked to Platinum by wagering over a very long time. There are also legal methods to rank up with minimum losses, if your goal is to rank up. (It will take much less funds, than just playing 3rd party Slots and losing tons of money)

I've checked the terms and conditions for the promotion and from the look of things, it does seem so. I would surely take advantage of the promo for the FA cup games on 9th. I'm not sure if any of the FA cup clashes on the 8th are eligible since none of the teams playing are from a lower league:
