Yes you are right, my level is still bronze in Stake and I want to try to pass it just to finish the percentage on my account.
But do you know what percentage of the bonus I get every week or month from the total bets I make? And is having that percentage separate between the VIP level bonus and the amount bet?

Leveling up is good, but you also need to have limits. If you focus on betting to level up to chase bonuses, etc. then it's not worth it. I mean bet with the amount you can afford without having to think about the level percentage.
