I'm surprised the tournament freeroll tournament haven't reached max player of any round. It's only 3K max players can register but it always like 2.5K only registered the tournament. Maybe if they also post this in there X.com account they can reached max player every round. In short they just need it to advertise.

Still, removing the tipping feature is a big move and I believe there must be pros and cons among the internal team about this decision.

Eddie is giving more priority to the pros there by keeping the cons away. Maybe there is a bad use of the tip feature which has lead them to take such decisions. We will get more information from Eddie as the time of removal come close.

It had reached to the max number in the last round. And I have also noticed the maximum number of users during the weekly stream time round. Otherwise, it really stays around 2.5k registered users. The most surprising thing is that there are 50k+ active users on Stake always, but 3k people aren't joining in the freeroll tournaments.

The tournament still can be joined, I have experience on the tournament with over 3,000 User in the tournament. So, even the max is 3,000 people still can join and @Mahdirakib was correct mostly in around 2,2-2,5K and time zone is also determined as well some of time zone have less user who are joined around 1800+.
Last tournament, I got knocked first hand after the full deal he hit straight. SHIIT Happens.

Last time i tried to get in almost late, it was full 3k for the first time i've seen, but i've only played 3 times, and once got to somewhere around 150th with a dollar prize . Tactics to get there aren't really suddle. People are putting all in with crappy hands because they aren't losing anything by trying. So in the end there seems to be few lucky ones. Tactics don't really matter much, at least on that level.

Also i tried with mobile last time and i think they fixed the folded cards trasparency issue that i and other people complained about, or it just shows up differently with mobile.

Casinos can't just "stop" when they think they reached the top, if you think that you are at the top and you no longer need to keep improving then eventually some other casino will continue to improve and pass you, and if you stop all together keep adding new stuff, then everyone will slowly pass you and you will no longer be even in the top ten after some point.

Stake knows this, if they stopped improving like for example 5 years ago, today they wouldn't be big at all. But they knew it, and they kept improving and working on their situation, which allowed them to grow bigger and better, that is how they kept their top spot. There are so many casinos that was once at top three, now not even in top ten list for most people because they stopped improving.

Max 5k players, usually around 2k players and more. This tournament now started with 2383 players. I play whenever I'm free and so far my best ranking is 27th place.

Feel free to take a look at my history joined, I almost joined the tournament every day. The maximum in previous one is (3,000), I guess they add the max number player at the time hitting those numbers several time.

Well, I never used the tipping feature anyway, just read a lot of bad things about it. Beggars asking for donations, hacked accounts sending tips out to their partner accounts and drain the victims, and so on.
But yeah, the coin exchange feature will be gone of course, not that I ever used it and stake campaign members will also get a new way to receive their money I guess.
I wonder why they changed this, but caring I am not, haha.

I think they wouldn't remove the tipping feature just for beggars, they would do it because they would be forced to do it for certain reasons. I strongly believe that many people would use this feature to transfer money from one account to another seamlessly and some would do it with bad intentions, some would launder money and etc...
I think that admins will still be able to tip anyone with any amount they wish. They have different control over everything, they don't need a public tip feature to modify someone's balance.

Is poker finally on Stake? I can't see poker on Stake.com, how did you get that URL? Gladly I don't get the location restriction popup when I visit that URL.

This new monthly is a good thing and the increase is obvious that they are basically trying to recoup whatever the amount of gamblers they lost. Stake is definitely one of the biggest ever to do it, but that doesn't mean that they are alone on this, there are other casinos and with them dropping the monthly, and lowering the marketing, I bet that they had some trouble with active number, and now they are back to providing more again.

They have to keep growing otherwise it is not a good business, we are talking about something that keeps going for a long time, and that doesn't really mean anything else, it is just going to be something that will not be all that scary and we should just avoid doing anything risky like that.

Lol, I honestly do not blame him though, I possibly would have still requested for a url if I was in his position as most of the time, mostly when I am on mobile though, using that left menu button when looking for a game type is always very confusing because it doesn't display the full menu list, but rather, it shows symbols of games, and for someone who does not really understand or isn't good with symbols, it can be very frustrating for them to find the game they are looking for, I don't know if this is something that is general, or it's just peculiar to me alone, and I also suspect this might have something to do with browser or page or both.

But then, having a link is always very convenient as it just takes one straight to the game they wanna play, but also risky since one can end clicking on the wrong link and getting phished.

Poker it's not listed yet in the list (original) games by stake, I guess because they're still in the testing phase. Right now, the only available room are (Freeroll) created by them, you cannot created some room personally or playing with other people with real money.

BTW, you can also use search function and type (POKER).

This is quite fun, I feel like people will focus on gambling as much as they can for as many times as they can without caring about the amount because from what I see you didn't put a minimum amount, correct?

I checked the rules and it didn't said anything about putting a minimum amount, so whatever the minimum amount that the game allows me to gamble then that would be my minimum if that's the case. In which case there could be a lot of very rich people, who would just put it on automatic to keep on gambling and just leave the PC on, which will definitely allow everyone to have a different approach to it, and we should probably consider this as something that will get a lot better for them, whales almost always wins these but I will try.
