We haven't seen something like bitcoin before, permissionless censorship-resistant decentralized financial system, no predecessors, so we can't predict or know how it will evolve. People do make bitcoin predictions for the next 5, 10, 20 years, assumptions/speculations, but still no one knows what exactly would happen to bitcoin in the near future, 100 years is a very long period.

Bitcoin has been designed with a very long-term view and it is gradually being adopted worldwide, unless it collapses on its own, I don't see why it shouldn't survive after 100 years.

I don't believe that bitcoin is now stable. But yes, it will surely survive and maybe in that 100 years, there will be another competitor that can outpower bitcoin.

To be honest, I think it is difficult to predict it. However, I think Bitcoin has no threat at least for next 20 to 30 years but still any better alternative can conquer the market with better features and benefits. Bitcoin has a good scope for coming decades but it's really difficult to predict about the century. However, I am sure that blockchain technology will survive even after 100 years because things are getting decentralised and it will get stronger day by day in multiple sectors.

I dont know if Bitcoin will still be used in 100 years. What I do hope is that it will be still survive the next 10, 20, or even 30 years if it truly is the cryptocurrency that wins out against all others. Thats the goal. The first decade, then the next. Small steps will add up over time. Hopefully the BTC will continue to increase in price over time even though there may be large dips scattered throughout its lifetime.

Popularity and use of bitcoin is increasing day by day all the world very rapidly. No doubt people want to use it in every field for better and secure work. Blockchain help to reduce cost of transaction, take a less time to transfer etc. So there are so many feature which is increasing the demand daily.  So, bitcoin will survive for life time and forever.

It depends because our world is constantly changing thus many techonology being invented every year. We dont know, maybe in thw future there will be a currency better than fiat and crypto that we have now. We cant underestimate the capability of us Humans so i think in the next 100 years bitcoin is already dead but it is replaced with new kind of currency.

As long as there are still people who are using bitcoin it will survive, just take a look at the old currencues we have, silver and gold is not used anymore for ttansactions, rather it became a commodity, since the dollar was taken off the gold standard. If such a thing happens to bitcoin, it only means that the morr bitcoin ee have, the morr is its value, but looking at it as an asset, 1 bitcoin may noy be wotth that much, if bitcoin is not being used, there will just be an excess of data, but if we continue to use bitcoins, aside from holding bitcoins long enough, bitcoin as a currency will still give us cashflow, but if we stop it, no cashflow, means no currency, no capital gains, no income. I think it is not a bad idea for us to savr, but we still need to use bitcoins for transactions, so there will be a deficit of bitcoins and increase its value, since it still under the law of supply and demand, and hopefully by doing do, we can reach more than a century or even a millenia.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
I think, YES, it will survive. Although most, if not all, of us won't live that long, I believe that bitcoin will become an accepted currency of the modern age. I also think that in the near future, banks will create a physical bitcoin (real coin) which can be used the way dollars and other currencies are being used today.

Definitely! BItcoin will survive even many centuries will past with the technology that we have but what I think of is bitcoin will be managed by government in the future- well we will never know what will happen 100years from now. Bitcoin is the name of game as of the moment since there's a lot of opportunities that you can get to earn money.

I agree that bitcoin will survive, because now more and more people are using bitcoin. There also more people investing in bitcoin so it will not so easily fall to zero dollar.

I think also that the government will try to control bitcoin, because many people aren't paying any taxes.

I think it will be really popular and almost everyone around the world will use it. But i think that there will be another paying method.
Probably one that does not exist yet. So i think you should invest in bitcoins.

In my opinion, thought I'm pretty sure that I will not reach 100 years in this world but I am pretty sure also that bitcoin will surely survive more than 100 years from now.
It will not fade especially that it already created its own mark in the market of cryptocurrencies and many investors are already into it.

We don't know what's going to happen next year so 100 years is a long shot, we must take it day by day because bitcoin and crypto currency market is very speculative just check what happen in the last two weeks, one bad news and the price went down.

Less certain, but it's possibility bitcoin can survive to 100 years. And as time goes by, bitcoin will become more known and maybe even bitcoin will growing up and developing. But of course, in life where things are exploding, there must be some who block/ban it, as bitcoin might be like that. But I'm sure Bitcoin can survive when viewed from the side of its advantages, hopefully all governments will really admitted bitcoin is a currency too.

Maybe, yes, because bitcoin is already famous to people but it just that some are not interested about it yet because they do not understand it. But sooner or later, I believe that when people understand the importance of bitcoin, they will also want to have it and this will be the reason that bitcoin will stay after 100 years.
I do not believe in that. Bitcoin volume is restricted, transactions are slow, new cryptos are comming. Therefore, smth more modern than btc should come up to the market.

100 years would be extreme no. But of course we cannot predict if bitcoin will stay for that long or i might say that with the advance technology that we have there would be more and more discovery will be born and can even reach the level of bitcoin or even much higher we never know.

I'm sure, bitcoin will survive in the next 100 years, maybe even more because in the future I think more and more people are using bitcoin as a means of payment transactions.
