Got the same mail. But my ransom is only up to 5 Bitcoin at the moment  It's even the same Bitcoin address. If we can't sort this today, we're going to start manually rolling dice in real life and sending bet results via fax. We'll be bringing in insanitydice as consultants. |

I think it's more to do with the general need to feel important/powerful. I doubt anyone has ever gotten paid in the bitcoin world for this type of extortion. The site is up currently, we'll be making it fully Ddos proof once again. |

Of course it wont. All it will do is show a weakness and other people will then start attacking if they think they can get money. Its like feeding pigeons or cats. Do so and more will appear out of nowhere and come back the next day with even more. |

Ofc not they would just keep coming. Nobody will ever pay that extortion because its just wasting your money and reputation. You know like I have said before the best form of defence is attack.. If they are using a botnet to send the attacks there is many ways to mitigate the attacks. Also if its just some pissed off kid who lost there btc and are using hping3 or LOIC there there are ways to stop this. I have messaged stunna to see if he would like me to do some analysis of the attacks and see if I can help provide a lasting solution to the problem. Hope you can keep the platform open for us.
