As much as I like the faucet style chat giveaway; I think there might be a better use of coins to help further DGC. DGCMarket is nice, but it could use more sellers and buyers. How about you give an incentive to list there?
Like 100DGC for the first legitimate listings? Possibly have someone as a "Moderator" of sorts as well to remove listings that are obviously joke/junk as well (I'd be willing to help with this).
I agree. I think it has the most potential of all the current services offered to help DGC. I personally would rather buy things with DGC then converting to USD. I am sure others would like that as well. It would probably help the price a bit as well because people would have a use for there coins rather then selling them which keeps lowering the value. I'd love to hear others input on this as well.

Let me know if there is a way I can help with that.

Can you explain your DDoS protection? Hopefully it isn't another pool with CloudFlare with an exposed port. It is CloudFlare I saw the page when the site was having problems loading my stats. I bailed, 2.5 hrs of wasted mining. Found 2 blocks all confirmed and no pay. Back to this DGC pool http://dgc.epools.org

Back to this DGC pool http://dgc.epools.orgCould always spread the hashrate elsewhere, instead of the pool already over 51% of the total hashrate (and perhaps almost as important, a large majority of miners)....my own pool is in my sig and doing fine since launch, but plenty of other options out there you could try as well.

Cool. No need to be a skeptic mate! Dgc has services (unique as well) being developed as we speak and the dev, team and marketing to go a long way. Much better chance for dgc to succeed than most of the other alt coins. Check out the dgc forum and dgc irc as well if you like. See links for those below. Cheers

Let's hope so. I like the idea, and I'm sure you can do a lot more with it. Just thinking there should be some sort of initial jackpot. The jackpot for the next round can be something like 5% deducted from the previous pot. Might encourage people to buy in, instead of having a pot of "0". I see that deposits are closed. hopefully it's running soon, so I can try it out.

The owner of http://dgc.epools.org/ May want to be aware that his pool is at 50%+ network hashrate and registration is open Combined with http://digicoinpool.com/ 410 out of 435 Mh thats 93% by rough estimate that is concentrated between two pools. Both of which dont advertise DDOS protection. I would recommend switching to either P2Pool or a ddos protected pool if available for network security

We're still giving away 10 free DGC to anyone who comes into #digitalcoin and creates a wallet. Not to mention the countless DGC that gets spread around by other users. Come on everyone, don't you want free coins?

I see that deposits are closed. hopefully it's running soon, so I can try it out. There seem to be a lot of different feelings on "how a lotto should run". Having decided to go with 5 prize winners instead of the single "jackpot" that most crypt lotteries seem to present limits our distribution of the funds. We've created a one-week drawing structure with several prize positions which means this lotto is going to run at a slower pace, and pay prizes to more people than most of the existing lotteries. Those coins who have a community where "no one will go first" are going to be replaced after 1-3 weeks of resource use. REC is already gone. And when a few people are interested and the jackpots start to look like this: http://lotto.coinworld.us/BOT/ things start to get interesting. I've attempted to reach out to the community about this and other issues and received very little response. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=241609.msg2561910#msg2561910I don't like the zeros either, but a lottery is funded by the entrants. And I think that just as much as you don't want to "Be the first" into a new pot, there are a lot of other people that would refuse at all if their purchase of a ticket was used to fund another pot. We will continue, and if people communicate, we will find an attractive formula. It's unlikely that we will implement a partial rollover but I will bump my other thread with this as well. If there are a large number of people who indicate that they actual play lotteries and are interested in this we will consider implementing it. Thanks, for the feedback. I've been told that DGC has an active community of users and also gamblers. We have successfully run a couple of jackpots and hope to gain trust and enthusiasm. This drawing has started a little late in the week. However if there are lottery players in the digitalcoin community, there are three more days to grow a jackpot before the drawing. We hope to see you there.
