If anyone would like to setup their own P2Pool node for DGC I have posted the source code based on P2Pool release 13.1 on my GitHub: https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2poolThis version also reduces the PPLNS window from 24 hours to 3. Endorsements: [11:55] <+nearmiss> p2pool earns you mystery bonus coins! [11:55] <+nearmiss> p2pool can do anything [11:56] <+d2> yea i was going to say it seems pretty obvious that carts p2pool code is distorting space time
Important note:If you are currently running alternate p2pool code you have to do a new install. Alternate P2Pool code is not compatible!

It's most likely a P2Pool that's creating those. You can see on the 0.1 blocks that they are being 'mined' to multiple addresses.

What is with this price drop on DGC? Great buy, but wonder if I am missing something?! DGC had a bit of a price rise just before July 10th. when BTC-e was officially deleting CNC from their exchange. There was speculation that they might replace CNC with DGC, so many people started accumulating DGC. However, as it turns out, BTC-e haven't replaced CNC with anything yet, so people are now getting rid of the DGC they had speculatively accumulated.

Dumped all my DGC, DGC is dying fast now, PXC is the way to go, rising well above DGC

Why? DGC has a similar price but over 50% more trade volume on Cryptsy even in spite of the PXC pump and dump that been going on for the last hour or so.

I've been trying to transfer 5000 DGC to Cryptsy for the past couple of days and constantly getting "Error: Transaction creation failed."
I've previously transferred multiples of 5000 DGC without issue. Any ideas?
Edit.... I'm able to transfer small amounts, however it appears the fee charged for the transaction is completely random, example 1000DGC first attempt 5.90DGC fee, clicked cancel and tried again 3.30DGC, tried again 1.80DGC, tried again 5.50 DGC - what the hell is going on - is this a joke, with shit like this going on I'm considering moving my miners back to LTC.

One of the most stupid replies on this forum.. PXC proved nothing so far but incompetence, same price, lower volume.

Hardly. DGC is still a good bit above its long term support level, and has a pretty damn healthy long term upward growth trend. DGC's current price looks like a pretty normal market correction. Oh, and even at this low it still has a market cap 50% greater than that of PXC.

Growing pains and dumps are going to happen, but the long-term trends are definitely to the upside.

It's clearly overvalued based on the BTCe hype from weeks ago. I expect more dumping as people exit their positions. As soon as the price makes any recovery they will dump. I'm beginning to wonder if 80,000+ new coins per day is too many.

I'm beginning to wonder if 80,000+ new coins per day is too many. It was overvalued at 0.0008, but the fact that people were speculating it to reach BTC-e says a lot about the community's interest in DGC. I don't think that the 80,000 is too many. I think it encourages a lot of people to mine because they can generate a large holding in a short period of time, but it is a dumping risk. The difficulty adjustment seems to work very well, which keeps the profitability and hashrate up. The price should stabilize as more coins go into circulation. We're still seeing significant inflation each day since this is still a new coin. We'll just have to wait and see. I'd rather not see DGC change the way that WDC is trying to.

I've been supporting and mining this coin since its release. 80,000+ coins/day is just going to make them less valuable, as nobody seems to want to buy them.
It's all miners who want to dump, and nobody else seriously wanting to buy. I wouldn't want to buy them either, especially after all the hype from btc-e, and nothing exciting happening in the past while. If it doesn't make it to another exchange, or devs don't make something new for it, it'll end up just like CNC. What ever happened to that DGC bank idea?

I'm working on it. The rate might be too high and require an adjustment down.
