In my personal opinion bitcoin is safer than other digital currencies, because bitcoins have encryption and complicated algorithms for hackers break into. But if you do not believe it, you can take precautions by jim haphazardly visiting the site of suspicious digital currency.

The underlying cryptography for Bitcoin has been studied and is believed it's SECURE.Assuming that you choose strong password for your wallet your Bitcoin should be safe for theft.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
Well nowadays there is no such thing that is secure in internet from the hacker so i think bitcoin is not totally secure so its still better to take some action of protecting and having a tight security in bitcoin. You cant tell when the hackers strike. That is the best way to do is to double your security and take precautions . So always take precaution on what you are doing to your Bitcoin so that no problem will occur to you.

Yes and No,
Yes, if you know what to do to secure your Bitcoin,
No, if you are too careless to secure it.

So the answer is,
It defends.
Of being careless to our keys and passwords can lead into our account becoming hack by other person.
Actually bitcoins is totally secured but then, we need to be careful of dealing persons specially with transacting payments because in a single mistake maybe you lost everything inside in your wallet.

Security of our bitcoins is totally in our own hands. We have different password and key in our account but why other person have being hack? Careful handling of our account key is the most important thing we should do because all account that being hacked is just because of being careless.

if I know the bitcoin may not be completely safe, because every online job there must be a risk, sometimes the risk is in front of our eyes, so we also need to be careful again to be more secure.

I think so...
Bitcoin is really a secured system so you can rely on it without any doubt. Bitcoin is controlled by a group of strong code so that there is no chance to be hacked or break down this platform. if you are able to maintain your password and profile in a safe way then you can be assured of any security measures. that's why Bitcoin is totally safe.

Anything related to the internet, I think is always potentially less secure. However, bitcoin can be relied upon to make money. A good principle in speculating because money makes money.

With each and every form of online activity risk can be found in a much large scale than in lesser time period. It's the users self responsibility to be secure and try making bigger profit out of the same. Hackers keep roaming around to make easy earning which needs to be sought.

Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

If you want to keep your bitcoin safe and secure you must put it on safe place ans do not ever try to share your password at private key to anyone. In addition to that, try to put 2fa to make it more secure and safe. Lastly, try to use offline wallet because some hacker prefer to hack online wallet.

I think bitcoin is really secure. With its ups and downs encountered over the past few years, it still showed to us how tough this alpha of crytpocurrency by giving us a graph that's so dominant in terms of market value.
If it is not secure, then maybe bitcoin is long gone already.

Well, I am not completely agree with that, victim of hacking were real here in bitcoin in which we can say that bitcoin is not that secure ,unless you take care on your own money as well as the account you are handling being here really counts or else loss may occur on your side someone may stole your profit without any evidence so I think it is not that secure but all of the forum user here must be careful instead.

Just keep and protect your private key in order to keep it secure. Dont just trust a friend with it because who knew that they might get your bitcoins especially when you have a lot of bitcoins. and Generally speaking, bitcoin is surely secured.

For small amounts its fine to use the various exchanges and web wallets but for large amounts that you want to hold long term it is absolutely crucial that you buy a good hardware wallet such as Trezor. Once you own your keys no one can steal your coins. Even if you someone has your Trezor and keys they can not get your coins if you also enabled an encrypted passphrase. Stay safe, invest in a wallet, after all if you are investing thousands then $100 for a hardware wallet is well worth the piece of mind.

I think it is only secure at a certain level but not entirely, just like everything else on the internet. Nonetheless, I think it's security level is enough for me to be here and take part in the system itself. Block-chain, encryption, username and password are present in bitcoin thus high security is achieved. In case it gets banned by government, well that's one thing we can't do anything about, right?

Yes Bitcoin is really secure because the network keeps getting more and more decentralized and more people keep building on it since the code is open source.

Bitcoin is as secure as your device. If you protect your passwords, and device from viruses, then chances are your Bitcoin will be safe. If not, it is your fault if you lose them, in most cases. It sucks, but this is why we must always be cautious when clicking links and downloading stuff!
