Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
If you are careless and don't valued things there is a higher chance that you will hacked. We can't trust anyonr ober the internet because we aren't sure if they are good or bad so don't give your information to anyone on the internet.

Yes, it is very secure, nobody can pickpocket you for starters heh. Banks also cannot really mangle with bitcoin transactions enough that it would satisfy their needs, and countries are also not really interested in outright banning it. It is very much the safest currency, it's security depends on the owner, if he or she is gullible, then it's security is lowered.

I think Bitcoin is secure. Unless you lose your private key or your laptop/mobile is stolen. No one can hack your wallet.

although many say that bitcoin is really safe. should we remain cautious. even the defense of a class of exchangers, can not stop hackers out there. well, we just have to stay cautious, because out there are also very many phishing sites.

I agree with you mate, bitcoin protocol it self may be secure but the wallet and services used for exchange or store bitcoin may not. So choosing wallet and services with famous and good brand name is a must.  We also use 2fa to give extra layer of security for our wallet. I emphasize again that bitcoin protocol it self is safe.

Sepertinya sudah waktunya, kalau menurut saya lebih baik lump sum sekarang. 30/01/2024.

I think bitcoin is safe in a very secret place from the public. do not let you give your key to anyone if you do not want to lose your bitcoin.
but now it is necessary to be careful that your wallet is not hacked..

Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

I am also pretty sure that bitcoin is secure. The one not secure is wallet. Wallet is hackable.
So we can be aware how to store wallet and key to make sure hacker can not reach it

Bitcoins are secure means of investment nobody can hack into bitcoins if you store them in an offline wallet it is the best way to store them in a paper based offline wallet trezor and ledger nano S are some of the safest wallets in which you can keep your bitcoins safe as far block chain is concerned nobody can hack into blockchain as the programmer has made it so secure so that nobody can easily hack into blockchain as btc runs on the support of blockchains .Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use them illegally as there is no idea on who the user is as they maintain complete privacy of the user name to identify the user.

Yes, for me, bitcoin is secure, it has proven itself from the many issues that it faced for the past couple of years and just becomes more reliable after solving those issues. The only reason that I can think of that people can say that bitcoin is not secure, is their own carelessness. I mean, if you are not that careful with the account you made and you make it easy for other people to hack your account, then it is your fault. We should not blame bitcoin for something that we've done.

Bitcpin left alone is totally secured.  No one can outclass the blockchain,  but even with all of the security features it could still be hacked or stolen because of the owners mistake.  You are the final step to make this security fool proof. But if you dont know what you are doing then better seek advise from those who has necessary knowledge about it.

yes, bitcoin is secured because a lot of developers have been maintaining the system of the bitcoin, We already saw bitcoin since way back 2011, but we haven't heard anything about bitcoin being hacked, that's one of the proofs that bitcoin has a very high security. About being ban, well bitcoin is just a currency, even without bitcoin, blackmarket will always find a way to buy and sell.  As we know, they even used USD to do their transaction, does that mean that they will block USD because it is being used in the deep web, certainly not.

It depends on the user. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your bitcoin. There are security risks you can minimize like how carefully you handle your coins. You can use hardware wallet, dont store your pass in your computer, avoid phishing sites.

It is really secure and since its market value skyrocketed to an astonishing thousands of dollars, hackers seems so crazy too on hacking the blockchain and of course test themselves if how good really are when it comes to security breaching.
To make it even more clear why it is so hard to hack the blockchain, here's an example article for you.

Bitcoin is really secure, I mean a lot of people has been using it through out the years. So, there is a guarantee, because if it's not secure, a lot of people would have stopped using bitcoin, right? Therefore, making bitcoin very secure.

Of course, the bitcoin is secure depending on the wallet that you use as it is not secured they will get your bitcoin bitcoin has been running since then the bitcoin is low in price so much it buys then and the bitcoin is a cryto currency and no wallet that can be stolen with a coinmarket for bitcoin and a lot of exchangers for bitcoin so legit.
