The easiest thing to do is to rethink if the fundamentals of your coins are still okay, if they are the easiest thing is to do nothing (and 80% times the best you can do), instead if the fundamentals are broken or have changed usually the best you can do is buy bitcoin and/or ethereum.
Whenever your altcoins are dumping for longer time that usual, it is clear signal of their complete disappearance from the market and devaluation forever. Under such circumstances, get rid of these shitty coins as soon as you can. This is the sole reason why I don’t like getting involved with altcoins. They all are very risky including eth. I am not holding any altcoin for more than 2 weeks.

Times I think of dumping it but still not doing it since It will be based on our knowledge to choose alts to hold too. Holding alts that are atill in development status that are really interesting can pump after development. Though we can't rely deny that there are tons of shitcoins now.

When prices are falling should be patient first do not panic and do not rush to sell, better wait for the price to go back and believe that the price will definitely rise again

The price of Bitcoin will definitely cross it's previous top, may not be today but tomorrow will. Every trader or holder need to understand this concept. If you feel you bought high and the price dropped then hold them strong.

Bringing copy-trading to the cryptocurrency market

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

There is a good quote about trading: "Be fearful when everyone is greedy, and be greedy when everyone is fearful" / W.Buffet. So possibly every such retrace is a good option to get in @ a better price?
Cost averaging is a good strategy, applied for any market.
Are you an active trader in crypto currencies? Do you think crypto provides good opportunities for speculation? and what coins you trade apart from BTC?

The simple question when prices are falling is if you think they will continue to fall, if so obviously sell. If not then you should either hold or sell and try to reenter at a lower market price.

When the price are falling, just calm down, just watch it, keep monitored because it rises again after all. It is normally that the price become low, there is no fixed value for bitcoin. Expect that when its price are falling there is a big impact again to rise and doubled its value.

I think holding your coin would be of use and is the best thing to do. Putting your investment in coins are risky, but it could change your life aswell, look at what happened to bitcoin, people are just letting it pass them by, but one day it spiked and take the world by surprise, and now everybody is just rushing to invest on it. Now that could happen to any coin out there, so hold on to your coins and see what will happen.

I agree with your opinion. If you keep the potential coin for a long time, then the altcoin will definitely increase but we still can not predict what will happen. Just trust and we will become rich

For me i check the the charts for good patterns that will signal me to just hodl it or bail out, because you can gain more money if you did this but it's bit tricky sometimes.
Not that easy to see the charts , and looking for the certain pattern .
Sometimes there's no pattern in cryptocurrency market , it is looks like everything so random.
I won't do this kind trick , it feels like you are doing a 50/action , better to looking for a safe way by cut the loss or hold it forever!

If I think the price of Bitcoin will fall and want to sell it to re-enter at lower price, do you suggest to go into Fiat or Tether?

If you are a long-term holder, then there is nothing to worry. Forget about the temporary dips and carry on with your daily routine. But if you are a short-term investor, then you need to strictly adhere to the stop-loss targets.

In theory that seems like it is easy but the truth of the matter is that is very difficult most traders do not get any profits or lose their money, so while many recommend trading as a way to make money I doubt that many of them are actually making that much money at all.

Just don't sell bitcoins(or other coins) if you bought for higher price than it currently is, that would be really bad idea, and you'd lose your money. Just try not to panic, think smart about it. I mean price will come back up again, you just have to wait a bit.

What you can do is to buy even more coins though, if their price is really low. This way you'll get even more profit once price rises up again.

When the prices are falling, I tend to hold my coins unless the con has no future and was just low cap and pump and dump coin. In such case, I sell at loss. Actually, I invest less in such coins, so loss didn't really hurts. If the coin is backed by some good project and seems to have potential. I keep on holding. If the coin is large cap and popular usually the top 10 ones. I never sell them as they have most chances of recovering.

just check some trade group and see people say about that then if they say hold we sell. they say sell we hold  Grin
I believe that you should act upon the advice of the experts. There are very less chances that their predictions result in loss. I must suggest you to remain cool and calm at the time when prices are falling down. Holding the Bitcoin at that time is most preferable thing to do instead of just getting panic and selling them at lower rates.
What you say is true. Panic sell will only bring a trader to a loss. I experienced it several times. Better to back up losses than to panic sell.
Some of expert prediction are true but im not saying just do what ever they says sometimes its better to save if your bitcoins are came from your profit better to save then unless you don't buy them into market because once you do that and then you wait for the price increase then sell and wait for the price to become decrease i experience this kind about bitcoin pricing and this is kinda normal for it. No need to panic just wait and see its best.
When the prices are falling we need to be a little patient and look for the bright side of it. As we have seen bitcoin is all about profit and i won’t let us down. We just need to concentrate on our job and wait for the right time to come. Patience matters a lot in such conditions.
exactly and think for some positive than can be happen after it falls. being short tempered and dont have patience here will go for you to panic selling that all traders wrong move.

Panic sales - this is the most stupid thing you can do when the price falls. When the price is low I make purchases of crypto currency. This is a great time to buy, because soon there will be growth

Most inexperienced traders do not known that. They always thinks that a dip is always negative to them and might be thinking of selling their coins. However, a dip is always a good buying point for everyone because the price is too low and cheap so instead of panic selling, the best thing to do is grab the opportunity to buy and stash more bitcoin in your wallet. But I guess its really hard to grasp it at the beginning of your journey in trading. But once you mature and gain experience, you will look at this gain as golden chance to buy and not miss the opportunity to profit in the future when the price goes up again.

Price don't fall it goes rise once again if you wait for a while if you are not waiting and directly goes for sale then it's not the bitcoin fault and the market fault you should still hold the coins because people are holding coins when it's goes drop and buy more coins.

it dependent on token or altcoin you have invested ,check their roadmap completion as well as their community support, volume check also help and which exchanges they are on.for potential token, always hold as for right now price may not be high but it comes with guarantee that team will buy back it.

When prices are falling you can sell what you have and save some money from your investment, or you can wait until
price go up and you make some profit.
@prashant you made good comment about how can someone check is it worthy to wait investment to get in profit, by
checking road map, community you are checking coin future, and is there any future, but that needs to be checked before
making investment and not in the middle of your investment.
If you think that investment have a future then you should wait, if you think there is no future sell and save some money
for next investment.
Selling out when the prices are falling is not suggested by me. Few weeks ago, when there was a sudden downfall in the prices of all the digital currencies due to the move made by China, many people especially the newbies sold out their bitcoins and altcoins but then things turned the other way.
