when prices are falling I buy some more coin and wait to prices high..if you sell when prices are falling you get nothing.but if you wait you have to chance get sometimes

Grab the opportunity to buy more, think always that when it dumps its our advantage so use it. When it falls too far from it's last peak then it'ste to buy buy.

This is what pro traders do, a newbie in trading forgets the most important rule of buying low and selling high, they panic and sell when the price is low when in fact they need to do the opposite and buy, it seems easy but once you have money at stake it becomes more difficult.

My suggestion with regars to this problem is either to sell your coins or invest more coins just like in any other businesses for them to lessen their loss they are selling their products or coins to a satisfying price another thing is to buy more coins because the market itself is unpredictable sometimes the market is on ita peak but sometimes it is not. So ita up to you whether you sell it or invest ore then wait for the surge.

Buying more coins may seem like a bad idea to some, but in fact it is a good idea, if you buy more coins at cheaper prices then the overall costs of your coins go down and you will need a lower price increase than if you just held, the only problem with that strategy is the fact that you need to have money to do that.

I have my own analysis altcoin today are not much profitable if you dump it even in a good price the best thing to do is to hold you coins up to next year because alot of ICOs happening this year and if government regulate this ICO it will surely affect or halt many upcoming ICO like in China if prices are falling its time to buy more coins and it will give you multiple profits in the next year.

What I usually do if prices are falling most specially if the coins are very low, I would buy more coins from a much lower price and your total amount of couns would then be divided; the result would be lesser losses. Read or research on google about books or ebooks on trading.

good idea when the price of bitcoin falling do not panicking because that you buy bitcoin in the lower price if need to sell bitcoin because use it for the daily needs and if have an extra money to buy bitcoin for the savings in long term unti bitcoins or altcoin goes rising again and the return profit holding in the long term good money back interest.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

Well, it's easy if you have enough money you will spend that to buy some alts that has a greater and higher potential and is good for the long term processes and if you have coins and already know that it was already dump then keep holding wait patiently until it reach your goal price don't to much emotional whe it comes in your coins be wise enough for you to earn more profits. Long term investment is good if you are bitcoin holder as well as alts 2-3 months surely it will pump hard.

Don't buy too early as the price start falling. See the chart and observe them. as the price started to go up again, then buy them. If you are able to predict the point where it would just go up, that would be great.

I think that's the only option you have when prices are dipping. You can't really sell during a dump since that would mean loss of money. So holding on to your btcs is the most logical thing to do, aside from buying more of course

For me i check the the charts for good patterns that will signal me to just hodl it or bail out, because you can gain more money if you did this but it's bit tricky sometimes.

In theory that seems like it is easy but the truth of the matter is that is very difficult most traders do not get any profits or lose their money, so while many recommend trading as a way to make money I doubt that many of them are actually making that much money at all.

If you are 100% sure that a certain coin will dump? Just make a margin trade. Sell it. And get profit while the coin's price is falling.
Recently I earned a huge money when I heard BTS (Bitshares) will be delisted in Bittrex. I just transferred my BTS coins from Bittrex to Poloniex, and place a SHORT position in margin trade.

I agree with you, uncertainty regarding the future outcomes is the biggest reason for not holding the coins, The most losses of investors of gains is investing on scams coins or selling too early on promising projects, Then boom, out of a sudden news leak on reddit and the price hikes basically overnight. Since you cannot time these it can be a good strategy to simply say "find a coin you believe in and just hold it for at least several months - it may not go up immediately, but in the long run you will be happy".
