Many will just sell if it will dump but actually some predict after all the breakdown it will jump back to it's price or even overcome it's price which can happen (not all coins has a possibility).

I agree with that. It will not always be like that because there is a possibility that the price will never recover again. We must not be serene that the situation will always be like that and we have to think of such ways that we can do if ever the price did not recover again. Popular coins like bitcoin are easy to recover because people already trust it but what about those coins that haven't established their good standings yet. We have to consider that.

My only suggestion for you when prices are falling is HOLD. Some people have weak hands, they panic and sold their coins  after it. Trading is very risky so you have to be patient and have strong hands. Read some news about your coins or what your coin can do in the future so you can decide if you hold that coin for long term.
Yes I agree with you, being patient is the key here to gain more profit, just like me, I don't have enough that patient when I think the price is high I will sell it already but once I sell it, it turns out that bitcoin will rise again.  Grin hahaha. Wrong timing.
Sometimes, patience in a cycle bearish trend for long time also a bad choice. You have to know the trend of the market, if the bearish trend will happen in a long time, accept your loss is needed, because you can buy back if the price of Bitcoin falls down with extra amount of Bitcoin.

For me i do is just sell it when i know it will dump more and if i know it will just dump small and will pump a big amount i will hold and later i will sell
If you know that it will be a quick short dump and then the price will start to recover,  then you should take advantage of it. Follow the classical rule. Sell when the dumping is about to start. When the price reaches its bottom, start buying with the money you got from selling your previous coins. Again when the price reaches its top level start selling and make an exit with your profit.
This is probably easy for those that are skilled traders but for those that are not really good at trading I think the best thing to do is to just hold, if regular people try that strategy they may sell too late and buy too soon and lose money that way.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
First of all, it depends of the reason why the value of it it's falling. Is it a market reaction, did the developer encounter difficulties in implementing the project or it's a situation with the national law/ governmental politics (see China, Russia) and regarding of this you can take your action. If the low value of the coin is determined bu the market then you should buy cheap coins, by buying them you actively participate in the growth of that altcoin. If the low value it is determent by other reasons then the market, then you should sump it.

HODL is the best.
Buying more is the best.

Get ready,
Pumping is on the way every time the price is falling.

The answer the best thing during falling:
Be ready
HODL

Very informative, that is the right thing to do when there is a dump but it depends on the coin you are buying, if it's bitcoin then there is no problem with the price fall as it is its normal trend now. Also, don't just by directly as sometimes trend are not right so make sure you did your research to know the real reason why the price fall, with careful analysis you will be able to do the right timing.

Best advice when the prices are falling is not to panic. Buy low and sell high, really simple concept but it will make you money.
Very beneficial piece of advice! It is the reality that the prices fluctuate especailly that of digital assets and the decline in the value must not cause any chaos but still majority loses control over their senses and sell out their property.

Instead of following buy low sell high, they follow buy high sell low and when the prices start boosting up, these people also start pitying themselves.

Yes it is terrible, if all odal are stored there.
there is no hope other than holding it for some time until there is certainty the price will rise again.  Angry
There is nothing terrible in holding coin for long time if you are pretty sure about its potential of regaining lost value. Bitcoin is the coin which is always worth holding and if your investment is into bitcoins, then there is absolutely no need to worry about the decrease in the value of the bitcoin since after every dump, bitcoins raise drastically in value. Just stay patience during dumps.

If you're only trading bitcoin I suggest you just accumulate during dumps/dips. IMO Bitcoin is the lowest risk you can take in cryptoland and when you buy the dips you'll quite certainly make some profit

I am not that experienced in trading, but as I see it, sometimes its better not to panic and wait. May be the decrease in price won't be a lasting one, and the holders of these coins will profit cosiderably

When the price is falling it's time to get ready your funds as this is the red day sale of cryptos.
The best time to buy your desire coins and to hold it until it gets pump.
There's no way to panic folks as this is all part of the game. Always remember if it dumps surely it'll pump later on.

In my opinion if you dont want cutloss for another coin you should hold as long as you can
There is no other better thing than holding of Bitcoin especially when the prices are falling down. Most of the owners get panic at the time when the prices are falling down. But if you want to remain safe and you actually don’t want to suffer loss then holding is the only possible solution which can help you and can save your money.

You are quite true. The time when prices are falling, many of us get panic and decide to sell all we have feeling that it’s nothing more than a trash now. I think that they are the biggest fools among us all. The right time to sell more and more of the bitcoins is indeed when you find the process falling down. In this way, you will find yourself to be rich when the market value will again get into the pace.

In my personal thinking I believe it's good to keep hold of the coin when the price continues to drop in value. At some point surely the price increases, only very few assets never pump back providing the opportunity to sell and make a bigger earning. One such that happened in the recent days is the octonox.

If you are a day trader of course when the market goes down you will sell it and go back to that coin if the market will go high again but people still HODL their coins.

If you will do that every of your trades for sure you will lose all your money you can't do day trading if markets goes down and go back again if market will go high that will make you regret instead hold the coin for a few days. Day trading becomes effective when there is a war in the market

As far as a person is earning profits, he must be happy because even a little amount of profits is extra money and mostly people sell out their coins when a specific target is reached and the holder gets satisfied by it but selling out bitcoin if there is no particular need is not a very good decision. The longer you hold this coin, the more you will earn money. Bitcoin keeps on rising up.

Yes in day trading if the market is down we will not make any profit. and that time no traders will show interest to do day trading. but it is the best time to buy our fav coins at a low price.

You know that if you want to earn a lot of money you will sell it while bitcoins are not falling. Because when you sell a downgrade the price will definitely drop the amount of bitcoins you hold and of course its value. So what you do well when you hear the news drop bitcoins is that you immediately sell it and wait for it to fall down first to buy it. And when it rises of course you will also increase the value of your bitcoins. That's the way to earn

First thing I do is I keep myself calm when the prices are falling. second thing I  dont think of panic selling . If it is possible I book the profit immediatly.

And I try to buy more at the bottom.

Your habit must be helping you a lot in increasing your income and getting damn stable financially. Panic selling is the worst kind of mistake that people do when their respective coins are going through dumping phases. Bitcoin is the only coin that is worth buying when the prices are quite low because bitcoin pump damn hard after every dump.
