I think yes, we can not use altcoin to change to fiat and for cashing out we can only used bitcoin for that matter and basically value of altcoin was based on the value of bitcoin. But i do not think it will happen in the future bitcoin was continuous adopted in every country it will make life and value of bitcoin much stronger and also lots of altcoin has brighter future like bitcoin. Hoping that after hardfork event happen more increase of bitcoin value would happen to gives us more more profit before this year was end.

Bitcoin cannot die or wont die. It is just the supporters will be bored out of it but it will still exist.
Now with altcoins, if bitcoin became less valuable then it might be because of them. If investors find it better to just use the service of this alts then they will all be lively. I dont one man who is fond of the crypto world could just easily quit. He will find something new that will excite him.

Now we're asking the real questions, this is actually a really complex topic. On many exchange sites there are "BTC to Altcoin" AND "ETH to Altcoin" AND "FIAT to Altcoin". If Bitcoin was to die, which is pretty unlikely right now, the altcoins would still have something to hold them up. Of course, Bitcoin is the main root of altcoins, it would be a huge impact to altcoins if BTC was to die.

I think we have reached a point that the crypto market won't die if Bitcoin suddenly vanishes. Ethereum is already in a good position to lead the market in case this happens. But if it happens, all prices across the board will probably crash heavily, and would take some time to recover (especially because people's faith in crypto will be broken because of btc's failure)

When something is not at all into circulation, then we can say that it has gone out of usage or dead. With bitcoin such scenario never exists anymore, because it has secured a place and more platforms have started using it on different needs. Based on which bitcoin will continue its usage through one or the other way. When bitcoin exists, altcoin too exists, no need of thinking about death.

It all depends on how bitcoin would die, if bitcoin will die due to having a lack of people investing in altcoin maybe thats the case the altcoin die. My other theory is that if bitcoin die due to having low investors or nobody invest in bitcoin the altcoin would not die and replace butcoin at the top of cryptocurrency.

It might depend on the reason why Bitcoin can die. In case when the death is due to total ban of Bitcoin as done by all governments or regimes then there is a possibility that Bitcoin death can also mean the death of altcoins. Now, if the reason can be other than that or it is within Bitcoin like losing the appeal from the market then there is a possibility that another coin can rise up to take the vacuum of leadership.

They are totally different anyway altcoins and bitcoins although they are both classified as a cryptocurrency they are not reliant to one another so I doubt that if ever bitcoin dies that it would drag all altcoins along with it instead it might even give birth to the rise of another cryptocurrency.

Ethereum would definitely experience a great increase in value. Most altcoins are exchanged for either BTC or ETH. If BTC suddenly dies, ETH would be the main coin people would exchange for. Of course, another coin would have to come up and take the lead.

If it dies, no other altcoin will die. When  bitcoin come out, there will be a better altcoin to replace it, so you do not worry too much about this.

Most likely if Bitcoin dies then altcoin dies with it too, or maybe some altcoins might be left but the value or price of that certain altcoin depends on the development of the coin, if people are still willing to use that coin and make use of it.

if bitcoin dies, altcoin will not be affected bu a little because bitcoin is the main coin but i see that there is one coin that can replace bitcoin and this is the ethereum, they have same level because there has many exchange to ethereum too.

The only way that bitcoin can possibly die is when another better altcoin will show up. That has not happened until now, but if it happens, there is a chance that bitcoin will die.

However, when that happens, the new coin will be more popular, since there will always be people interested in crypto's. So in that specific case that bitcoin dies, there will automatically be a popular altcoin, so it will never happen that both bitcoin and all altcoins die.

I think so, if bitcoin die of course the future of altcoin will be disturbed and it seems altcoin possibility doesn't have a future and will die like bitcoin. And indeed, I think Bitcoin is the mother of all altcoin.. which can determine the future of altcoin itself.

I suppose if the price of bitcoin falls or even bitcoin dies then the price of alt coin will increase, now eth is also good not just bitcoin which become the benchmark in crypto currency

If something happens unpredictably with bitcoin for technical reasons, altcoins as completely independent coins will continue to exist. Most likely, the place of the bitcoin will be occupied by the current leader of the Altkoins - the etherium. The world кpиптoвaлют already enough is known to people that кpиптoвaлютa continued to exist and develop further. Therefore, I believe that nothing terrible will happen. However, I hope that bitcoin for a long time will bring us a good profit by its existence.

Did you know that when bitcoin is launched, there is no like bitcoin and bitcoin is directly bought by a fiat money and that is how the altcoins will work in the future if bitcoin will die but as of now, it is impossible to happen and i think that bitcoin will have more years to live in this world and altcoins will also be there for a lot of years because they are like brothers.

Unless the Bitcoin system has many problems and can not fix, Bitcoin never dies by any altcoin if comparision about the growth and the value. Ethereum is one of enemies of Bitcoin, but recently, this coin also can not against the price of Bitcoin. And other altcoins also dumped like Ethereum.

Bitcoin is based on blockchain technology.
If Bitcoin dies, why should alt-currencies do the same?
I think that all coins will die if blockchain technology will fail.

BTCs might have problems if blockchain technology will evolve. But forks showed us that a potential change of course is possible.
I also think that there will be no problems untill mining rewards will be substantial (taking into account block rewards and BTC price).
