It is very difficult and a little possibility to mine in Phones, as the GPU rate cannot cope up my Phones, it will lessen the life of mobile phone because of heat exhaustion of phone. ETN provides mining thru phone but it only depicts mining and not actual mining itself. But in the future it is very possible as the technology of mobile phones is getting advance.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?
I think mine on a smartphone does not really produce. But I agree that now, with smartohone, you can do productive things with cryptocurrency.

In addition, the device can not be used due to a heating problem. Mobile phone mining is insufficient to make money. Electroneum practice is not working yet.

There's a lot of websites inviting me to mine their coin using my own phone but I disapprove their invitation because I think it's not legit and may broke my phone.

mining cryptocurrencies through mobile phones is basically a marketing strategy which can create more hype. Technically there is no any way to mine cryptocurrencies through mobiles. It may be a good tactic which can be used for mass adoption and got nothing in a technical angle

Hi, in my opinion, mining on the phone is possible, but not at the moment, since it is necessary that the phone be powerful enough and productive, and modern phones are equipped for other purposes

I think if it is even possible and there are good mining technologies which do not break phones, it is not very profitable due to low usage of electricity.

It is just for fun, nothing more. If you want to gain money on mining, you have to create mining farm and mining on phone is just kidding.
Does anybody think that it is serious?

I think mining by using mobile phone is not really good because there are some specifications that are very much different from a computer which has a high specification. And I know that real mining on smartphones can't be done now, there are too many resources required from the device that could not afford.  Grin

Although the performance of mobile phones continues to evolve, CPUs and GPUs are a few orders of magnitude worse than computers. Mining with mobile phones is no different than using ants to help people move things.

I think it can't. Because the phone can't physically withstand with a big amount of information. Also it will spend a lot of energy from your phone and you will always have to charge it. I heard about mining on phone, but this was scam, so it can't be possible.

I do not think that makes sense. The complexity of calculations will grow very quickly and you will be able to earn something only by using the mining farms.

I think it will not be very profitable because the battery of your mobile phone will empty very quickly and most smartphones don't have enough power to be profitable unless you spend a lot of money to buy a high-end smartphone like the s9 or iPhone X.

Using a mobile phone for mining is not a good solution. Mining will quickly drain a phone's battery. If you constantly hold a phone on charge, it loses its main important function as mobility

Till now, there are no coins that can be mined by phone. it is veryl low hashpower even thouh. I tried electroneum. In fact, it does not mine via mobile phone. it is airdrop to install etn wallet. It is fake mining in your mobile. etn mined with GPU. How to compete GPU with mobile device.?mining with phone is possible but till now I haven't seen one.

If they can optimized that app to work with lesser battery consumption and not affecting much the functional apps necessarily needed in android phones like messenger and cameras then I think it would be a really good project. Android phones were known to being used via multitasking since it is made that way but we all know that mining needs a lot of computing power in which the phones itself do not have much compared to the usual miners so I think one of the challenges of these project is optimization of that program to work seamlessly on phones which are already saturated with apps.

You need expensive mobile phone and beside that it will not profitable and just make your phone quickly damaged. I think it more profitable to buy ASIC.
