Does anyone else feel the Electroneum start date being pushed back with no information is a bit scammy?Huh.

https://electroneum.com/

They have a mobile miner that should be running (they claim to protect us they are not releasing the miner or wallet yet stupid statement with no explanation)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.electroneum.app

From homepage this is exactly their explanation:

Electroneum is a leap forwards in the accessibility of cryptocurrencies.

The Electroneum blockchain is LIVE! You can download the mobile app via the link below, however for security reasons and to protect your ETN we have delayed the launch of online and mobile wallets and the mobile miner.

We apologise for this delay. Keep an eye on our Facebook page / Telegram group – we will have this app live very soon!

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Personally i think that mining on our phones or iphones will not be worthed , especially of the consumption of power, mining will probably consume all the battery power

I am. If I have a phone that has the capable specs in order to mine, I would love to mine using my phone. I wish that's possible.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?
It is not possible to mine any crypto through mobile right now because of high mining difficulty of almost all coin and if there will be some new coin out there in future, than it will be not worth to mine because mining difficulty for it can increase insanely high in no time.

Some cloud mining platform are developing mobile apps for their service but that can't be referred as mobile mining.

Yes, it is really true that it is not possible to do bitcoin mining through smartphone nowadays because the application is so heavy and a smartphone memory cannot contain it. You're smartphone might hang and malfunctioned if you will forced to use an application for bitcoin mining on your smartphone that is not supposed to be installed in it because it is not meant for smartphones. It is made for laptop, personal computers, etc that has bigger memory.

agree, I doubt the strength and resilience of the mobile phone, whether strong hold the heat generated. Laptop that has a cooling fan is not recommended for use as a mining tool, how about mobile phones that do not have cooling fan

Phones don't have a cooler this is true what you have said. They can't mine coins yet even with a laptop if you mine you can damage your laptop with it. Maybe after a few years phones would be mine it.

I think some people will abuse this mining on phone in the future so phones will be worth a lot.

yes I'm a little interested in the mining of mobile phones, but there are to be considered, because there are many risks when using mobile phones. It looks like the phone will continue to work until it causes the phone to overheat and will slow down and eventually the phone will die, and not necessarily also can produce a profit that is proportional to the loss.

Yes, mining on our phones won't be worth it. it is why we have special hardware for mining(asic) and GPUs.

You should check out Electroneum. They will launch this days an app for mining on the phone. It wont be a real miner but a simulator but the rewards will be real. They should launch it on the 1st Nov but because a hacker attack they decided to pospone the launch until all it is safe.
Interesting will check it out, thanks!

the extreme heat from phone will kill it sooner then you think i have killed 3 phones mining coins and never made over $1.20 in 90 days! Mobile phones are not designed for continuous  CPU utilization, even when connected to USB. But let's see I saw a Razer mobile phone being released. Though even a gpu miner is not profitable right now unless you own tons of High end GPU miner or ASiC then there's no problem, but for mobile phones I DOUBT it's profitable.

This sounds like an awesome use of technology. I would do it if it were both safe and efficient. What do you think?
nope, its waste of technology better to use your smartphone to do something more useful, and it is not efficient battery drainage, heating problem and etc, it could damage your phone, and smartphone is not designed for mining. if you want to mine you should invest to buy mining rigs, it will be profitable enough if you have low electricity cost.
because phone is not for mining we know that when technology change and has a possibility to mine the lifesapan of battery is good then why not but as long as we dont have that kind of phone mining in mobile phone is not profitable.

Quite interesting idea to mine on my mobile some coins and cover some part expenses for mobile internet. Of course, there are many things to consider such as the type of mobile phone, processor, memory and so on.

These is the first time I am hearing about Mining through mobile but how can it is possible. Many people are spending a lot of amount for Bitcoin mining and how can they simplify the code with the simple APP. I think it is very difficult to develop the APP.
That's true, I also want to know that. If that is possible please also share it here. That is also the first time I hear that android phone can mine crypto.  Cheesy do we need to put some special software so our android phone can mine cryptos?  Grin Or I think we also need to have good specification of phone.

Think it's just an imagination. If it possible, phones would spend all their power on mining and would not allow themselves to be used to the fullest extent.

I agree that mining on phones will not be worth a lot. Phones are lacking a cooler and sometimes the gpu sucks. So we should wait a few years and see if it changes.

I think that many people will begin using mobile phones as miners.

Mining bitcoin using a mobile phone requires a strong GPU of a graphic card because an average mobile phone can crunch 8 hashes per seconds, therefore the competition among the miners will be high with the owners of strongest hardware (ASIC) not (GPU) used by mobile phones and cheap electricity will mine bitcoin successfully, in a nutshell mobile phone mining is very difficult to achieve on mining bitcoin.

I think, it is not so good idea. Mining on Mobile Phone will require a lot of power and quickly defuse your phone. It will not be convenient

Mining on phone is a scam and people will lose a lot of money. Modern phones cannot survive 1 day on batter so how could they mine crypto it is simply impossible.  Only big companies mine crypto with profit, because they have very very cheap electricity bills so they can do it almost for free and they will always make a profit.

Of course the power of phones is growing very quickly. But the capacity of the batteries stopped growing. Modern phones have to be charged 2 times a day with active use. With Mining it will be 3 times or more. The very idea of mobile phone mobility is lost.

Yes, it's a mockery. I charge my phone 2 times a day.
It really annoys me. I have  "ancient" nokia, I charge it once a week (it is 7 years old).
