Please people. Just relax and read the instruction, it is as clear as can be. Store your tokens in a private wallet like MEW, PARITY etc before the swap, the deadline is 3 hours before the swap. The swap will happen at approximately 10pm PST(Pacific Standard Time) on 30th October.

Well, just to understand the "swap" correctly: The eBTC are in my wallet (= on the blockchain), so nobody can actually take them and sawp them for a new token. So I guess the swap in this case means we will all be credited with new tokens (while the old ones will of course remain on the blockchain), so the effect will be similar to a hard fork, correct? It then remains to be seen what each token will be worth. Is my thinking correct?

it is obvious because after the swap the old contract won't be deployed to any exchange and the old tokens will be worthless.

Just create a MEW wallet. Here the Link: https://www.myetherwallet.com/and send your tokens to it. Then you have to create a custom token to display them.

This isn't a coin, this is a token, You cannot create a local wallet as you can with a coin. Store your eBTC's in an online wallet or at an exchange.

@mayssam and @Fitzy: Thanks for your help. So I guess the point is that the old tokens will be worthless as the contract simply is not active anymore, so I wouldnt be able to transfer the tokens. Right?

That some really good news here! -> Code will be available prior the swap -> "Automatic" swap, no need to send them anywhere (as long as it's not on exchange ofc)
I hope the swap would be flawless and that the project will go far.
I've been following this since the beginning, really tough with the dramas that occur but well, I still hold my eBTC!!!

That's right ,once the new contract is deployed you can't transfer the old tokens.
