I would not recommend buying coins for storage for so many years. For crypto currency it is very long. Crypto currency is changing every day, and it's hard to guess what will happen in a few years.

The concrete truth is that 4 months ago no one would have suggested to you to hold ANS which later became NEO for the next 3 years. Nor would they suggest you hold OMG.

Just that rudimentary observation and objective truth should illustrate that the crypto market and space is extremely volatile and 4 months from now if you asked this same question you'd likely get entirely new answers. So trying to extrapolate over a 3 year period is like trying to pick the best medium-risk stocks to hold over the next 50 years!

Firstly, I think holding some coins can be extremely profitable in crypto world.

In my way of thinking, neo, stellar, eos and monero can be good selections to have good profits in the end of a few years.

I think only some altcoins worth holding for years. Some altcoins' market value are not increasing anymore after months of existing in the market. Some good altcoins to hold for years are etherium and Litecoin. These two altcoins have already established a large community of users which positively affects the demand as well as to the market value. Bitcoin is more advisable to hold for years which have been already proven for the past years of it in the market.

The title of the thread is what I call or term falling in love with a project. In crypto, you dont fall in love with any project else you would miss out on alot of other opportunites. Crypto is so filled with opportunities that once your token grows in substantial value, you can sell off some part and invest in other projects just so as to grow your portfolio unless you have a project which has a roadmap till 2 or 3 years time. The part remaining from your sales could be held till that 2 or 3 years.

The good altcoin for 2-3 years holding is: Credit, Cybermiles, Eloncity, ADA, NEO... These are my list and i spend almost my money to invest in this list. Hope it can x10 or more than in 2020. Crypto will development and will be approved by all goverments.

If you want to invest Altcoin for 2-3 years, I think it is very risky to choose the top ten. Stellar is a great option, this year the number of ICO projects on the Stellar platform increased rapidly, predicting 2-3 years longer Stellar also developed.

I dont recommend for just holding good projects like neo, stellar or others, there is important thing and we can see from 6-7 months, when you earn good money at bull, you must sell from high and buy from cheapest price.

DBC? I have checked its graph and I do not see any great progress of it. However, I will read about this altcoin more (thank you). My choice is NEO. I suppose that this is the coolest altcoin for now.

For altcoins, i still find ethereum the number one cryptocurrency to hold for quite sometime. This currency has all the great potentials being the blockchain of choice for many technology innovators and the backbone of many new ICOs. And with rapid increase in projects this year, ethereums price will probably double or triple by the end of the year.

Holding alt coins for at a stretch 3 years is nt adviseable  the period is long to predict the future of any coin best formula is when the market pump it is better to sell the coins

Most of coins should achieve growth when you will hold them 2-3 years. Especially now when all prices are really low, if you need something really good choose something from top 10. Ethereum and bitcoin will be the best, neo will be profitable with its technology so choose from these coins

in my view, in case you are looking for altcoin to put money into on long time for that range or time, i will like to suggest which you spend money on ethereum, neo and perhaps EOS because this are very capacity and solid coin and they may be precise for hold on long time.
