hold altcoin until 2 - 3 year is not good
if you choose bad coin you can lost much money, if still want hold 2 - 3 year must buy major altcoin, big 5 volume transaction

Hey guys, I wanna hold some alts for 2-3 years. Can you advise me some? I am thinking about Bitquance, XVG, OMG, NEO....anything else?
If you want to hold Altcoin within 2 to 3 years. I advise you to buy Altcoin which is already proven good and promising in the long run. For example Ethereum coins. Ethereum can be a very promising coin if held in the long run. |

I'm holding my Ethereum right now and some other altcoins like Ripple and Tron. I also have Waves but I'm not sure about its future so I think I'm gonna sell it once the market recover. Being a long time holder is too hard and risky because I don't have anything to do when the market is down but to sell some coins that I want to get rid off and keep those promising coins. As long as the market didn't get worst, I will hold my investments maybe up to 5 years.

it won't be a bad idea at all, considering how the market prices of these cryptos keep rising and falling; i think long term investments will be the best. Also all the altcoins you mentioned has a promising future so i think your money will have a significant growth. |

I would go for coins that have solid roadmaps that are being hit.
Coins such as ADA should increase dramatically in 2 years time as they become more mainstream, and are seen as a "V3 Blockchain" by many.
NEO is also a good one to hold as you have mentioned, you get GAS as your interest which is a great benefit.

Cardano (ADA) is a good project in Assia. It has a good potential. I don't agree with neo. It's good to stake some gas but itself it's not that amazing. Ethereum is much better than neo. I can also say monero is a good coin for holding. |

OMG is a good option. But look at waves. great platform and has its own exchange. more and more icos start projects on waves. have a look.
for next 3 years i recommend iota. its now very cheap and undervalued. uses tangle instead of blockchain. global players jump on it.
Oh yeah! iota is a very good option. I would not buy much but still this coin can bring very good profits. Just buy a few ethereum for safety. |

If you want an altcoin to hold for that period of time, I think you should go for ethereum, waves and no as they are good and stable coin which have the potentials to grow and yield big profit over that period of time and they are reliable coin also.

Best coins for 2-3 year holding are masternode coins. You hold them and at the same time and with almost none expences you earn passive income from them. The tricky part is finding a good coin which doesn't cost as much to set a masternode,has strong fundamentals so it'll be able to survive those 2-3 years and increases in price so your holding is worth it. You should research and read about the new or upcoming masternode coins and pick one (or even several) you believe in. The rest is holding,hoping and earning.

Holding altcoins for 2-3 years is too long but if wanting a big profit, it is good. If we want to hold its better to have a ETH, Litecoin, NEO and other coin that you think is good. |

1. Ethereum : the best altcoin sofar and i think 3- 4 years from now ethereum can reach $10k. And ethereum has ethereum enterprise.
2. Neo : no minimum to stake neo to get gas is good way for investing in long term. I can get capital from staking and increasing in value.
3. Omx : omix / omx from project shivom is very long term investment for genomic data marketplace. And will always used for researcher and contributor.

i think that buying some cryptos to run a masternode is risky because the roi is not guaranteed, the coin might crash and loose a lot of value and maybe there will never be enough transactions to get some decent gains. said that some coins are lucky and might give you a lot of profits like dash in the past year! For the op i can suggest you to invest in some new blockchain that can explode in the next period like universa or wanchain, the blockchain are the coins with the hightest roi |
