Many developed and powerful countries like japan,  usa, russia declared it as a legal and also exchange their fiat money with bitcoin. If the forks continue, 2018: 3-5k 2019: 2-4k dollars. The bitcoin prices still can not be recovered. It was almost 5 days since fork.

After 5 years I hope bitcoin be a currency by almost because wouldn't  you think it would be far more comfortable if bitcoin would be accepted in all as an assurance and safety for us people who like to carry a huge amount of money and always bring debit/credit card.

I am also very optimistic about the coming 5 years of bit coin as the previous history of bit coin clearly says that bit coin is the strongest crypto currency which have faced numerous challenges like banning of ICO in china as well as a huge fluctuations  and socioeconomic condition in the market but bit coin still stands and reached the highest range in a very short period of time.

Bitcoin will continue to grow more and will create new benchmarks with having many forks in it's way but don't worry no altcoin will ever going to replace bitcoin. Bitcoin is still the boss and will always remain if the community stands still like it is now. But one more thing, it also seems that bitcoin have to face some more regulations in the near future by government.

Because the ICO also a part of the cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin is the King of the cryptocurrency world, it is also the represent of all cryptocurrencies. Therefore, it is normal when the price of Bitcoin falled its value by the ban of the Chinese government.

ICOs are different from Bitcoin though. Just because both are a part of cryptocurrencies doesn't mean that ICOs have any impact on Bitcoin itself. That's like saying that every country is in war, just because some others are...

Maybe after 5 years bitcoin price is very hogh and for sure those people have a lot of bitcoin become millionaire. And I hope many online store even offline store accept bitcoin so the price will continue to increase in the future si we can make more profit. Bitcoin hve big future but we dont know when the price will increase or decrease so you need to be ready of what happen.

We're already seeing gigantic offline stores accepting Bitcoin, at least in Japan. You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin at every single Bic Camera in Japan since this year.

In my opinion, in the next 5 years I think bitcoin price will still continue to raise its price, maybe more about $20k, but of course we can't assure that, because there are always possibilities that bitcoin will also decrease its price. So, it is up to us if we want to rely on our thinking or not.

There is a possibility that the price of the bitcoin will reach the $50k level in the next five years if the bullrun will go non-stop and that corrections are limited to only few dollars and will last only for a day or two and then go back to surging again. I believe the main factor that will affect and determine BTC price in next years is the growth of bitcoin community. If there will be more users especially traders accepting Bitcoin payment then everything will be OK.

If the situation you described that I bolded were to happen, Bitcoin would be in the millions of dollars in 5 years, not $50k. Bitcoin can already gain $2000 in a month long bull run. Bull runs are only going to increase in raw dollar values as the price gets higher. A non-stop bull run with very little corrections for 5 years is not going to happen. This year hasn't even been a non-stop bull run, there's been 1 to 1.5 month long corrections, and the major bull runs didn't even start until basically beginning of May. So it's been 6 months from beginning of May and the price has increased by over 4.5x during that time! That's a doubling rate of less than 3 months!

Even if you describe your non-stop bull run as only having a doubling rate of 6 months for the next 5 years straight (which is a far cry from what you described), from today's price of $6400, that means Halloween 2022 Bitcoin would be $6.5 million! Doubling from here just 3 times will put bitcoin at $51k.

My point is all Bitcoin has to do to get into the 6 figures within 5 years (which I absolutely think it will) is have a solid bull run every few months, with deep corrections in between like we've had this year. As the price goes higher these bull runs will get smaller percentage-wise but larger dollar-wise.


Here's an extremely low ball estimate for Bitcoin for the next 5 years:

2 bull runs per 12 months, starting at 50% gains for each bull run for first 12 months, going down by 10% every year, so that the 5th year the two bull runs only get 10% gains each. Just these meager gains (by bitcoin standards) would put the price at $83k in five years!!
