Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.
I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?
I'm just looking for some advice. Thanks a lot!
If you will take my advice, Im on taking a risks because after all, no one knows what will happen to the behaviour of bitcoin price in the long run. Plus the fact that investing in bitcoin is really worth a shot so you might want to face the risks instead. You know questions like that are being raised everytime. When price is experiencing crazy pumps, people will asked if it's still ok to enter bitcoin or just wait for price decrease. Now that price decrease happened, they will asked now if it's still ok to wait for more dumps. And the result, they are being left resulting now for a regret. Try to understand first the risks of investing in bitcoin and once you truly understand it, have a guts fo face it no matter what. If you afford the price then enter at any price rate. |

I think that the prices are high right now and there will be a drop before another spike.. However, how will you know when that drop might come.. I think its sometime after the 2X fork.. but when it does many people like us waiting or the price to drop will drive the demand and the prices will increase again.. By how much.. no one can tell for sure.. But when it does make sure you have the liquidity ready to buy it.. so start preparing by creating accounts in exchanges and also get some tether for liquidity.. That's my plan at least..

Take into account the price is quite high, but it's probably not going to go below $4k anytime soon.

Always try to buy during a dip! It is very hard to precisely time a bottom (or a peak), but i think its better to wait a few days before buying into a bull market like we are experiencing the last few days.

you can invest anytime here in bitcoin or altcoin for profit i recommend xem and eth for long term then also bitcoin for 2 to 3 months investing try this because i do that and this is base on my experience and based also in the 7 years history here in bitcointalk forum |

You will not find a good moment to invest. because they are basically about investigation and speculation that everyone is doing.
so if now you have studied and potentially will go back that's the time to buy. and no one can predict exactly when there will be an increase or decrease.
so I think this is a matter of speculation that people do.

I think you should buy as much as you can cause I think you don't have much time to be able to buy Bitcoin at 5k7$ because Bitcoin will reach to 6k 7k$ very soon and there are a lot of predictions that Bitcoin price will reach to 10k$ in at least 6 more months. You no need to worry that Bitcoin price will be dumped. Nothing and nobody can dump Bitcoin price too much in a long time even China, country has biggest effect to Bitcoin price still only can dump Bitcoin price in just few days.

No one knows that when the price will drop and how much it will, so it is better that you should not wait anymore for the dip and buy bitcoin as soon as possible. The price is expected to grow more after the upcoming fork in November, if it will be a dip then don't need to worry because soon bitcoin will regain its price. |

welcome to bct Thamos. It depends on how much you gonna invest. If it is big amount of money then I may suggest you to wait for btc to retrace a bit down and then you can buy.

Actually people prefer buying bitcoins when the prices are low but seeing the current growth buying bitcoins now would not put you in loss, maybe the price of bitcoin would go down for a bit but they'll increase again so no worries about that. But I or even many would suggest to buy bitcoins when the have a low price and then invest them.

Investment management totally depends upon the time when you are investing and also the value rising or getting degraded is also the main matter to se upon
Though I think investment is the best when the price is at the heights or else it's upon your interest when you want to invest

ight now is probably the best tim eto invest if you are looking at what is happening this year. Two hard forks happening and you will get Bitcoin Gold + Bitcoin Segwit2x. If another fork happens next yeaer or the year after you will have even more coins. The demand for coisn is also going up due to china possibly electing a new leader soon this year and he may like crypto and make it more legalized. |

I would definitely wait. It always adjusts after a big rise so you will expect a downtrend after the HF. Wait a couple more weeks.

I think it is still ok to invest now since Bitcoin is expected to be more popular after this fork. Remember they are enabling segwit2x this upgrade and with segwit being activated, port for new upgrade implementation opens. So basically this will cater more interests and hype for bitcoin.

I think it's better to invest now. Of course it would be better to do it much earlier when Bitcoin was not so expensive. But the price will grow further and if you invest now you wil be able to get a good profit very soon.

1st of all i suggest you don't buy bitcoin now.
its price too much high now. wait untill its come down.
because bitcoin fork will be launch soon.
When you Buy some coin as investment, Be Alert for any news.

I would invest in bitcoin right now if I have the money I can afford to lose. I keep on hearing about a fork coming in mid November but as a newbie I can't tell for sure how much the bitcoin price is going to drop. One thing is for sure, the price keeps going up and up and the demand is always there. If you'll look at your ROI for long term investment it will be worth the risk.

Welcome to this forun thamos, you are in the right place.
As we can see btc is so high, the value is reaching its peak again, so it is soaring high now.
So if I were you, better if you just wait until atleast it lower because in few moment, when those panic sellers come to their ends again, for sure the price will be go down. But if you can buy now yes you can have it, because the price will surely grow more in the future so no need to worry now. Just make sure for long investment so you can gain high profit.
