Any time there is a dip in the price of bitcoin is a good time to buy as it is only likely to increase. It all depends on what your strategy is, are you holding for the long-term? Short term high investments?

Today may be a good day to get some extra BTC, as price has already fallen $400 from ATH ($7598 5th Nov --> $7172 6th Nov 16:46UTC) and I think price will recover before the fork (16th Nov).
Today it is falling, but buying bitcoin now it is risky max to max again it will increase $200 or $300 but for this, we have to invest $7k. if you invest less amount then you will get less profit. So wait for this month end

Once we get the end of the month, things can change dramatically because the bitcoin hard fork is being expected now as B2X and this one will be the biggest one probably. It can affect bitcoin price very sharply, negatively. You better take care of it.

At this point, you should not buy bitcoin, it's best to wait for SegWit2x to happen. Now it is better to buy altcoins.

I think that if you will keep on waiting you will miss a chance because bitcoin price will keep increasing because it is on demand. The best time to buy is when bitcoin price is going down. However, a lot of people are holding bitcoin because it keeps on going up as daya go by.

Hi world Smiley It’s a really hot topic now!

Maybe I’m wrong as a newbie, but the only reason to buy BTC now, before the upcoming hard fork, is a desire to get an extra B2X coin for free (if your wallet supports the option) and a hope that the total price of both coins after the fork will be still higher than the rather elevated price of BTC now.

Have I missed something?

(I mean short-term investments; in a long-term sense it’s perhaps always wise to invest in (= transfer money to) Bitcoin.)

It would, of course, be better to choose the moment when the bitcoin price will drop a little from the current maximum rate. However, no one can predict with certainty how bitcoin will behave in the near future. Of course, due to its volatility, it will fall down in price after a while. However, you can also buy bitcoin at any time, because after a while it will grow in price all the same.

From my current investments, the money I would get from Segwit2X (let's say $1800=BX2?) is approximately the same that the profit I may do from selling BTC at the peak before fork (let's say $7500).

The only reason to invest in BTC now is that I have just collected my salary and think that after this $500 correction bitcoin can only recover till $7500. I would cash out this high price bought BTC before the fork (let's say Friday-Sunday) to avoid the burst. It may be a small profit but it's something. Anyway, I know I might go for some alts with this money, but I have just got my Bittrex account enhanced and I still don't fell comfortable with this site.

I don't need this money anyway, so in the worst case I may go for long term. lol

It seems the peak was yesterday and now for a while (how long?) BTC will be going down.

You mean 'recover till $7500' before the fork? Or after?

My I suggest that you spread your buys lets say 10% of your investment, on average you should get a lower price then. Can work both ways but that is what I would have done.

I don't see BTC going down all the way till the fork. I think it will recover before the fork, when people finish their plays with alts and come back to BTC to collect free B2X.

Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.

I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?

I'm just looking for some advice. Thanks a lot!

If you want to invest in bitcoin, invest immediately. If you want to wait maybe bitcoin will go down, the percentage is very small. because I think the bitcoin price will continue to soar. What are you waiting for? now is a good time to invest if you want to invest long-term.
agree with you. invest now is good choice and in my opinion bitcoin will be up in next years.
but no one know about its true happen or not because all choice there is risk

It's fluctuating around $7000 USD now. I think it is a good time to get in.

What is the reason to wait to invest in bitcoin ? Just do it! Because its not to late to invest in bitcoin this is the right time now to invest your money but don't panic if bitcoin goes down because its a part of volatility of bitcoin keep trusting in bitcoin. Smiley

Bitcoin prices are very volatile, personally i can't predict about  down and rising its bitcoin prices. But if I suggestion for you, buy now before it's too late, because the average bitcoin value rises per hour, no instead of down.

maybe he is too afraid to invest right now because bitcoin price is too expensive and he don't want to spend his money for just buying bitcoin. but if he know that bitcoin price will always increase from now on, then i think he will think twice to not buying bitcoin now because he can make double or tripple profit in future. maybe he will think again to invest his money to buy bitcoin but not the whole of bitcoin and maybe he will buy bitcoin in partly.

Yes invest now because even the price is high i think its going to grow again next years. It base on the popularity because while many country dont acknowledge or know about bitcoin so the price is still growing because some country didnt join already here if they join here the price in that will become high
