Why are so many people against bitcoin?

Maybe because they are traumatize or something like they don't want experience losing money. They are also against in this one due to the false news or etc that empowered their mind. We cannot judge them tho. They have other reason behind it.

Today it was the turn of Bill Gates to unleash his share of verbal diarrhoea against the crypto-currency. One thing is clear to me now. Those who are above 50-60 years are never going to understand the technology and concept behind Bitcoins. Don't even expect them to understand Bitcoin fully.

Bill Gates and his company Microsoft always and in all adhered to conservative views, but I agree that people over 50 years of age are difficult to understand and accept bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Everything new was always difficult to develop, because it came up against the opinion of the older generation, who does not like everything new.

I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

Many people are against when we talks about bitcoin and we Can't blame them because nowadays many of investment companies is scam. Maybe those people who are against in bitcoin are scammed. But we all need to do is to show them the legitimacy of bitcoin and how you will earn without investing.

They probably hate it because the time they bought bitcoin the price is continuously going up, but after buying the price continuously going down. You have a point and maybe you are right because those people might invested a huge amount of money.  Then eventually they ended up being broke or their money was lessen.  And also those who hated bitcoins were those who does not know anything about bitcoin.  They are too afraid to try bitcoin and afraid to have some risk.

I think that the opponents of bitcoin are divided into 3 groups.
1. Those that are really against bitcoin and cryptocurrency and blockchain according to their personal beliefs.
2. People who do not own all the information. In the future, with a deeper study of the subject, they can change their mind or remain against bitcoin.
3. People who are just against everything new. Bitcoin is just a part of their endless list of "against". Such people are ordinary negativists and bitcoin here absolutely nothing to do with.

How I see it is, many do not, or no not want to understand it. And what will that leave you? it is then easier to just start dissing bitcoin and throw all the generic arguments which you probably have heard, and can immediately see that the person doen't understand jack s**t about it.

I was genuinely amazed on how much douchebags are in a reddit sub called r/buttcoin where people just flame btc and chant that they hope all crypto crashes to extinction. Wgt would you hope this? Have cryptos done something to harm you? Maybe it is they are mad they didn't get into it in the early days and are jealous to some who have made profit? Or maybe it's because they are determined to take the road on hating this space. The human mind is a complex and f**ked up thing.

Many people against bitcoin? I don't know how many people against on bitcoin, maybe they are not interested in bitcoin. Other's are pretend that they are against on bitcoin, maybe other people discourage about they heard negative issue about bitcoin that's why they don't like bitcoin.

Most people don't understand what is bitcoin, they think Bitcoin is a scam. And  they have not noticed the potential for it.

you are very right it is the main thing people are not financially educated they are not having proper information about bitcoin, bitcoin is the best currency but if one is good knowledge about it, bitcoin us to increase every month in price it could be rise and could be fall so if it is the rise in price time to sell if it is down time to buy, so if people will know these small but important points about bitcoin I bet you there will be no person against bitcoin then.

Many people have a bad look at Bitcoins. Perhaps many of them have been victims of a scam, they might have been networking, pyramiding, Bitcoins just cause them to leave it. Maybe they only understand the true meaning of bitcoins and what their accomplishments have in our lives are likely yet they look at bitcoins

I think there are many things that hold people back from embracing bitcoin. Risk, usability, security, mass adoption, etc. However I don't think that inhibits people from believing in it. It just takes some time.
