Mainnet soon, while everyone is mining and wasting their time free of charge, especially those who do not have mining tools and have to hire, do not get anything, it's very disappointing, I better trade in the market than have to mine.

Epic fail? yes that's right, everyone wants to scramble first btg, but dev does not clear open pools and chains, it really makes people disappointed.

Guys!

The initial Sync problems are history now! And the first Profit Comparison calculator for Bitcoin Gold is live!
https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/
Please allow up to 24 hours data to be collected for the 24 hours calculation to work. Until then you can see what you have mined in your working pool since block 499922. Once 24 hours have passed since block 499922 you will see a calculation for the last 24 hours.

Cheers

Some are expecting things to go like Bcash the difference it nothing changed everything could use the same block data pre fork but since the pow changed all old collected data is useless and needs to be rebuilt

Well, in 24 hours you will have real estimates and calculations. What will happen from that point on only a fortune teller can say.
I am not one - I just do math Smiley

how many blocks are they mining?

"they" actually aren't mining, but the users on the official pool are mining their premine Smiley

8000 blocks

Hmmm.. 8000 blocks premine? Doesnt that take like almost 2 months to mine with 10 minute block time? Or am I missing something here?

Right now it seems to be averaging around 15 mins but its adjusted per block so will correct itself quickly for 10 min average

The exchange 'hitbtc' is now accepting BTG deposits; No new block seems to be found for a long time, so this is not easy to process a transaction.

Buying 6.5 btg for 0.28 btc (0.043 each). PM me. Escrow may be used. I may go first depending on who you are or conditions.

Great news! finally can start trading on hitbtc, I think the network is normal and no more constraints, keep in sync and do not maintance again.

any bootstrap for this shit ? 8 years of block to download -.- epic fail

The only shit here is your brain and the only epic fail is your incapacity to read as this was already explained many times here as well as on github. I had a fully pre-fork synced BTG wallet by Oct 27 (and I was in fact very late to the party!), most of the others (non-idiots, that is) did the same as early as on Oct 25. And as I also mentioned here if you already had a BTC blockchain stored then you didn't have to download anything, you could just resync it locally BTC->BTG.

I hope all the retards will dump their BTG asap only to cry and whine in the future, just like the retards did with BCH.

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. Always check the trust feedback first and make sure that you have enabled "Show untrusted feedback by default" in "Profile / Forum Profile Information".

The daemon does not sync but shows 4 connections? I already added the bitcoin.conf and addnodes that were suggested a few pages back.

I was able to sweep my btg using coinomi but it seems to be stuck waiting for confirmation.  When I checked the transaction id in btgexplorer, it shows up but has "invalid date"  Can anyone tell me what this means?  Is the btg gone to limbo forever?
