Coverity will be one - don't keep all your passwords, access codes on the computer on which you have the Internet,it is often work!
- It is better to keep your savings in separate wallets hold.
- Do not click on unfamiliar links and do not give anyone your data, campaign workers never ask for more than the norm of information!
- Do not brag about your achievements, in addition to online scams there is still a real world with your animals!))
- Everything that happens to us to blame only ourselves!!!

I just logged into MEW and when check my balance everything except 45 tokens everything else has gone! My wallet was hacked, but where have all my tokens gone?

I am devastated. Has anyone else been hacked how is this possible?

I am not sure what to do! please advice folks.

You need to be a little careful, a lot of fraudulent sites, which are still even experienced people. The difference can be only in one letter in the link, all caution want.

So sorry to hear  all your hard earn token was stolen by hackers. This is most likely the hackers has access to your private key. The account is no longer controlled by you alone again.  All you have to do now is take responsibility for your mistake and quietly open a new mew account.

Yes, certainly. In the spring of 2018, there was a scandal with the hacking of the DNS servers of the myetherwallet wallet, but this is not the work of one hacker, but the work of a whole team of professionals. After that, the site learned its lessons and took the issue of security seriously.

Most likely you told someone your private key or stored it in the cloud storage. Or maybe you visited a phishing site or downloaded software with a virus. There are many options, but you need to now take into account your mistakes in order not to become a victim again in the future.
Those are some of the most common mistakes, but I really think that if people want to deal with cryptocurrencies they need to have some form of cold storage, you do not even need a hardware wallet, you just need a USB or a cheap hard drive and install your wallet there and only connect that device to your main computer when you need to create a transaction.

Be protective of your wallet private key, hacking isn't possible unless your personal private key is hack by you unknowingly pasting on fake website, be careful of website you use that it is protested and safe before use.

Guys need to protect themselves. The best solution is not to go to the wallet to avoid phishing. The private key is impossible to crack.

You probably logged into phishing site which looked identical to original MEW; that's a classic hacker scheme which continues working even today...but that's one of rare ways to steal someones tokens...

The fact is that I consider MEW to be practically the best ethereal wallet that is difficult to crack or almost impossible. All problems with the users' funds are only due to the fact that the users themselves inadvertently use the wallet.

It`s clearly stated to check URL, to make sure that URL bar has MYETHERWALLET INC in green. I agree with
you Suslura, all problems are made cause not paying enough attention.
When you open MyEtherWallet anyone can go trough several pages how to protect their wallet. I done that
first time, it`s not hard. People should spend more time on reading important stuff, if they don`t do that they
are guilty for every lost penny.

Sorry that's really unfortunate it could have been that someone got hold of your private key. Now your wallet is not safe and you must get a new on. Also i think its not advisable to keep all your coins in one wallet, just spread them into different to avoid loosing everything.

Whenever we find some of our coins or tokens gone in our wallets, we need to make some confirmations first as regards that, so as to be sure it was really hacked.
There are times that the loss of some tokens might be due to malware.
If it then happens that the wallet was truly hacked through the provision of some transaction evidences, it means that we have to go for better options by using secured wallet.

Yes, friend, those are the normal incident in crypto. when you fill some forms don't give any time your PVT key or wallet password. Always keep those details beside the websites. It is better to use a hardware wallet.

Prioritize security next time when opening your wallet, always triple check everything from url and avoid clicking ramdom links. Make sure you are opening your wallet on trusted network, do not entertain random emails which most of them are probably phishing or get important information from you. Invest in good anti-virus, hardware wallets and most important do not share your privatekey to others.

The total security of MyEtherWallet lies in the care of the holder. It is always best to protect our login details especially the private keys. I have received a couple of phishing emails claiming it is from MEW. Remember, MEW does not have any one's email and will never request a user to follow a link or provide private keys for system upgrade.

i would suggest everyone to save eth wallet private keys on separate file and do not open that file unless needed.  that way you will not accidentally copy paste the priv keys on social media.  additionally, install metamask on your browser. it helps alot on detecting phishing sites.

Alot of phising site of MEW, IDEX, ETHERDELTA so make sure you click on right website by keep it on bookmark. And its better log in to your account when you want to withdraw the token, and for make deposit or to see the balance is not necesary to log in. MEW should be add 2 FA  to increase the level security.
