Worried about ASICMINER price decline? Lock in a price. I see a PUT option of 6 shares @2.6BTC strike for 0.2BTC premium on btct.co
That's a tempting one, that is.

 Cheesy

Not  a bad price - but I just undercut it to 1.9. for now

I decided one or two undercuts is worth another  Grin

PUT 5 @ 2.6BTC strike for 0.13BTC premium

We're getting some competition on the PUT markets on btct.co (In the past, I've noticed the CALL/PUT offers have been overpriced and many intentionally constructed to deceive naive buyers).

The prices were/are so far out, i couldn't decide if it was deception or delusion.

Your PUT is tempting, but that was a strong bounce earlier.

That's true, but the offer is meant to be timed as a nice hedge against any unsatisfactory news friedcat might drop on the ASICMINER thread tomorrow regarding the 12-hour offline period yesterday and the time table regarding getting blades back into the marketplace. I have a feeling we'll see some burn-off in the 12 hours after the DIV's are distributed to ASICMINER-PT shareholders.

I would love to mess with these more - does anyone somehow trade with an actual program using API's ? That supports options? That would be cool.

I'm not sure what the btct.co api supports, maybe post a query here:
[BTC-TC] Community Exchange w/ Options, DRIP, 2FA, API, CSV, etc.

They have been pretty responsive with new features, so it can't hurt ask.

Share price back into the 2.6's.  Who is waking up right now, Australia? China?

price seems t be stabilizing around 2.82-2.85.  That's a decent recovery, and shows the stock is fairly resilient, even against a lot of bad news (dividends, hashrate, share correction, etc)

I hope he addresses the hash rate issue.  I think he'll probably talk about the new blades, too.

i think they were just moving blades into new server racks enclosures. It is huge job and slow, not like trowing vacuum cleaners into server rack. you need to switch blades off, disconnect cables, remove blades from old enclosure and so on. Even if you will work 24h a day it will take A LOT of time. that is why hashing rate went down for a while.

I dunno.. That's a lot of variance.

It is possible, but we have no way to determine what the probability is unless we know the *actual* hashrate.

I'm thinking along the same lines. Probably someone is preparing for more to come and is shifting / replacing stuff.
