Are you going to have a portuguese translation? In addition to CoinsMarkets, are you planning to list in other exchanges? What are the main characteristics of Coin?

I think a Portuguese translation has become mandatory. We have been very fortunate to have a lot of interest from Brazil and already a small community has formed at the website and created a mining group there. You would have a laugh at me copying and pasting English/Portuguese chat in Google translator trying my best to give support at the website and Facebook...

Do you have bounties for translation? Is it language specific or equal for all?
What is the required scope of translation (bitcointalk thread, www, pool etc.)?

Yes we do have bounty translations and we've paid the same bounty each time. The scope of the translation is to do the original ANN announcement thread and keep all of the original formatting. Easiest way to do that is quote that thread and then you can just translate while leaving all the formatting tags in place.

The Portuguese translation is already taken but it isn't finished yet.

Hi guys,

We are going to update the cluster node for the upcoming fork over the weekend. We hope to keep down time to a minimum and will post a time the new cluster will be live.

We are putting the new node on a new server (same trunk just a new server) to cope better as the coin grows.

All going well your miners will only be down for under 60 seconds once we change the DNS  to point to the new server.
So they should reconnect and get new work before the retry times out.

We will post a time tomorrow that it will happen so you can keep a eye on your miners.

I had a user asking me for code so they can make a cluster node. We will not be giving out code because having more than 1 cluster node on a coin defeats the objective of cluster mining, would be pointless and runs the risk of others charging a fee to cluster mine.

Regards,

Raster.

Hi Angelo, I like you are a lover of this coin. I'm nota dev and only run the cluster because of my fondness of this coin.
I have mined a lot of coins. Some better than others but this is the only one I have spent time to help make it better with mining from tuts of how to solo mine to the creation of the cluster node. There is so much more I would like to do with the coin and hope to in time . I may not be a dev for the coin but will help the team wherever I can and the miners of the coin.

Now is the best time to be on a coin. Its still easy to mine and with the roi very good returns get them before it gets hard.

120 coins to a block will not be much when the network hash gets high and the ROI APR is lowered.

***********  Node IP Update  ************

Hello,

For efficiency reasons, we have built new seed nodes.  We will be taking the old ones offline on 12/14.

What does this mean?  If you solo mine with only a wallet, not a thing, its hard coded.

For anyone that uses an ROIcoin.conf file for "addnode="  Please update with the following IP addresses.  The old ones will not work after the 14th.

139.59.67.150
46.101.139.91
178.62.105.207
128.199.252.224
188.226.134.103
159.203.7.187
159.203.72.137
138.68.237.128
46.101.241.241

These are 3rd party Nodes, by members of the community that have been generously supporting the net.  Thank you!

200.179.245.53  Brazil
153.213.96.231  Japan
194.67.193.64   Russia
52.211.179.241  Ireland
79.141.58.231   Russia

If I missed anyone, feel free to add on.  Our up and coming new Block Explorer page will also list available Nodes.

Thank you.

The ANN will be update with this updated information as well...

Please note that everyone needs to download and update to the newest wallet version prior to the fork which should happen around 15th Dec.

You can find the wallet at https://roi-coin.com/roi-coin-downloads or https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases

I would put a copy of your wallet.dat on a USB stick then install wallet on other pc then delete the empty wallet.dat from the install and copy in the backup wallet.dat file.

You will be surprised to find there are many staking and masternode coins with much higher rate than ROI.Grin
Also those coins have no term limit so they can dump the rewards any time.

The fastest way is to copy the qt.exe and the ROIcoin folder from roaming folder then paste the ROIcoin folder into the roaming folder on another pc then start with qt.exe.

Hello GreenHope - Just a small clarification...  ROIcoin does not use MasterNodes, in the sense like Dash, etc...  The Nodes we have a just plain ol' seed nodes which are hard coded in the wallet to start up connections.  Like Seed1.roi-coin.com, and so on to VPSs in data centers around the world.  These run just the ROIcoind and the CLI to run the chain (no mining now) as well as DNS seeders to assist in wallets finding more peers to connect too.  Meant to be a very decentralized net.

For term locked deposits, those aren't going anywhere until maturation.  Who knows how people will behave once they mature, they may turn around and lock again, further growing their funds or they may place on market.

While it is true that just an open wallet is earning 15%+ compounding (30 days on new deposits)...  We are still a very new coin, with only 0.007 BTC buy orders on CoinsMarkets.com.  Not many places to literally dump a coin, for a meager $80 some odd dollars.  That would be tragic, considering the long term potential for someone holding these coins.

We are waiting for the fork, to ensure a smooth rollover, at which time, marketing and such will be going into full force as well as hopefully being on YoBit by that time.  Already submitted, just waiting on them.  I can say, the team is committed to the long term success and growth of this coin.  We've got a great team behind this project which has been become a labor of love.  There will be no dumping from the pre-mine holdings as this would cripple the coin.  We want to be a solid coin, in the years coming, as we see a slow trend towards mainstream people getting more active in this once, very isolated field.

Thank you for your support and helping others, by answering some questions.  Your experience and others like you are of tremendous value, in helping newcomers.  In turn leading to a positive environment where every one is welcome and every question worth answering.  Smiley

Have a great day... and sorry for writing a book.  Smiley

Just registered to say thanks to TheRaster, cluster mining is awesome, today is new record - 720 coins in 24h on an old i7-5930k... So far it was three times as profitable as pool mining (getting 360-480 coins on average a day, opposed to 150-160 in a pool).

The problem is godaddy called me last week in the hopes of rinsing more money out of me. It did not go down with them so good when I told them. No dont need it. No no no and I will call you when I need something more.

I think it comes down to the side they seen bit coin. And figgered they could make more cash. I just said look your there to hold a website nothing more. I dont need your VPS and so on. Lol.

I cant say what mining on p2pools is like as I have not used them. But from my stand point I like to make mining easy. When I came in to mining it was stupid hard to understand what was going on and it also seems alot of mining, pools and so on seems to be controlled by a few peeps. And the lil guys are the ones working hard to make any coins.
This is why I came up with the cluster node. No fee's and all the block. No matter how big your rig you can make a good amount of coins on the cluster.
This is another reason I will not give out code for the cluster node. There is no reason to have more than one cluster node on any coin. With cluster node code they could charge miners to mine and that is not what we want. We want the coin to do well. We want the miners to do well.
I like you have a few coins that I would like to see worth some cash in years to come. So I help out on a good coin. This is the 1st cluster I have done. I can do it to other coins but its only realy coins like this that need it.

I thank all who have mined the cluster node for posting that they are making coin from it.

Remember I make nothing from this other than the warm feeling I get from knowing I am helping others to gain coins and kicking the big guy in the nutts Cheesy

Raster.

A newbie here...

I've installed the Windows client app and let it run for a good half a day on my Rizen 1700 machine. I know it's running since it is grabbing close to 99% of all CPU power and the machine is rather sluggish.

But I'm seeing 0 in balance nor pending. Am I doing something wrong or does this get updated less often?

Thank you.
