It is strange that when there is a renewal of the wallet, there is no notification about this. This approach creates difficulties. I like the idea in investment platforms, such as Safinus and Tokenbox
Well technically we do more here than most coins in that we tweet it out (Thanks Togo) as a High Priority Tweet, and we notify of the mandatory on the forum here, so there is a notificaiton about it.

However I do like the idea of sending the mass e-mail for mandatory upgrades from the pool server automatically. (And updating the pool front page post).

Im working on putting our dynamic latest version indicator on the OP post of the thread now.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Im working on putting our dynamic latest version indicator on the OP post of the thread now.

Some update in the client itself would be helpful too.. less subject to being missed?

check for upgrade/mandatory upgrades.

OP Post Updated - now when new mandatory upgrades are required we update the OP automagically:

Edit: If you come back here later, this post will display the latest version.

Note:  We can do this with lottery numbers too.

Yes, maybe we can have the client "speak" the update to you with the built in speech-synthesizer while you are on the toilet in the morning.

No, seriously that is a good idea also.

For now Ill work on making the Pool tweet updates next to the e-mail list.

I'm adding an in-client feature for it to warn you on the overview page if your version is lower than the github version.

The only flaw is right now it cant discern when there is a mandatory upgrade, but it should be a good start.

I am also adding an RPC command called 'exec versioncheck' that will show the current client version and the current github version.

Later we can work on a flag for mandatory upgrade heights.

I've got a solution for automatic in client upgrade notifications.

The current version is 1.1.1.1, this is comprised of super-major, major, minor, and subversion octets.
We can increment the Minor version when a mandatory occurs and keep incrementing the subversion in-between mandatory releases.

Then the client will be able to detect when an upgrade is required and show the warning on the overview page.

So we will attempt to have 1.1.1.2 - 1.1.1.19 for example as Leisure upgrades, but when 1.1.2.0 occurs, a mandatory upgrade is required.

To help alleviate questions about your next estimated PODC Research payment, you can now paste your CPID in the pool in Account Settings, and the Home page will give you CPID information from the next superblock, such as UTXO weight, Magnitude, Estimated Next Payment, and Task Weight.

How can I get the CPID?
I am new mining biblepay and when I try to associate the Biblepay address with the Distributed Computing CPID, I get an error saying "Balance too low to advice DCC, 1 BBP minimum is required.
Rosseta@Home is running on the same PC with BOINC.

You need to have some BBP in your wallet to associate your CPID.

IMO...

BBP is the tithing of the future for churchgoers. What an amazing dual purpose it would serve, the Church gets their tithe via BBP, while helping the charitable organizations at the same time..I really don't think this would be a complicated system to incorporate into churches, most of them have internet connections nowadays w/ wifi, and most folk carry their phones with them as well into the church.

Sweet feature! Smiley
One question regarding the next superblock: How come the budget suddenly went from 2.7 million to 1.2 million? Of course it has to degrade sometimes, but a sudden decrease by 60% seems a bit harsh.

I upgraded the Block Explorer AWS instance to have another CPU (t2.small to t2.medium),
before it was maxing out CPU and going slow,
sadly I lost the previous IP address (Ive now set up an Elastic IP Address)

http://34.214.229.186:3001/

This is the new address, I will email Rob to update his DNS record

====

I also noticed CoinMarketCap has a frozen circulating supply listed:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/biblepay/
I assume it happened after main block explorer was changed to the backup explorer a while ago
Ill update them once the address is updated

Also, What is the Total Max Supply of BBP? I remember reading it will reach 5.1 or 5.2 billion or so

Finally what's the required utxoamount parameter in conf file? Can we leave empty and it takes all it can take? I would find it burdensome if we needed to change it everytime oir mag/rac changes.

By the way, for my own Block Explorer (https://explorer.biblepay-central.org) I setup a small nginx config that works as a reverse proxy for node.js. This way I have the explorer accessible via port 80 and an easy let's encrypt integration.

Is that something that is useful for you, too? Smiley

I think it would probably be useful, Im just a total newbie hahaha,
All I did was rent an AWS Instance, Install Iquidus and Open a Port
and then I wrote some documentation: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7elm7r/iquidus_block_explorer_guide/

Hi All,

I am trying to set up (from instructions here: https://www.biblepay-central.org/en/mining-how-to/mine-desktop/) mining and downloaded a BBP wallet on my PC.

I also created a BOINC account and joined the Biblepay team on Rosetta@Home (and right now I'm solving my first Rosetta@Home project).
Now my problem is that when I wanted to associate my BOINC account with the BBP wallet (in the DC section) I got a message "balance too low to advertise DCC, 1 BBP minimum is required". So I think someone would need to send me some tBBP. Cheesy

Receiving address: BC3pJqSzivJdpGZgXwsvp1aT1Ugnjm3eiK

Thanks you all in advance.
