BiblePay got listed on LiveCoinWatch
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/BiblePay-BBP
https://twitter.com/LiveCoinWatch/status/978263154273804288

I believe its a competitor to CoinMarketCap, I remember reading in the crypto subreddits that people were concerned CoinMarketCap was skewing things, I dont know the details

Is BiblePay's Max Total Supply 5.2 billion? I can contact both to have them list that as our max supply.

Nice!

I believe we can use this schedule as a guideline, since it takes into account the median network difficulty and monthly deflation:

http://wiki.biblepay.org/Emission_Schedule

According to this schedule, the total generated BBP would be indeed be 5.2 billion.

Yeah, it's 500 BBP/MAG until April 01 Smiley
The 50'001 BBP requirement was dropped.

Ok, I missed that, but the source code seems to still use 50001 for staking as default:
double dUTXOAmount = cdbl(GetArg("-utxoamount", "50001"), 2);

So I might still keep the comment about the utxoamount, but fix the calculation Smiley

Okay, that's strange. I really was under the impression that an adjustment was made to 500 BBP/RAC. I guess I'm going to have to wait for Rob to clarify this Smiley
The calculation above, for the default of 50,001, is where the wallet decides how much it should send in a PODC update.  In the current incarnation, it sends either the key config amount or the 50,001 if none is present.

But in the Sanctuary code for our contract creator, that business logic uses 500BBP per mag as the *target* required amount (of course subject to the graduated utxo weight breaks percent table).

I'm going to be working on the feature to auto-calculate podc staking amounts very soon.

Yes, this is for all intents and purposes correct:
http://wiki.biblepay.org/Emission_Schedule

Of course our long term difficulty level may drive the total emission down a little, and the quants will say technically there is no "hard cap limit", but for all intents and purposes emissions have slowed in 2050 to such a degree, that the max will not effectively be much higher than the last year on the chart.

You will just need to wait for Rosetta to have more tasks, it is the same for everyone.

Good morning all, I see the catastrophic event of the day is that we ran out of Rosetta tasks!

First of all lets all remain patient, and consider that fortunately with our move to PODC, our payments are based on RAC - Recent Average Credit, and not on Daily Credit Delta Rewards, meaning that we have all built up a buffer of work that we can rely on in this time of draught.

Think of your RAC as a research savings account of stored up work.  It is reducing at a decay level of a couple percent per day (roughly), so if you have 1000 RAC today, you may have about 980 rac tomorrow and still receive 98% of your rewards today while Rosetta has no new tasks.

And since we are all in this together, we all decay together relatively speaking, so none of us has any advantage during this dry spell.

If you go to the RPC and type 'exec racdecay' you can take a look at how an average PC builds up RAC for an event like this.  And then imagine in the middle of the schedule, the effects on your RAC as you wait out a day.

In the mean time lets hope that Rosetta runs the task scheduler.  I have a lot of PMs, sorry for the delay.  Yes, we can talk about long term possibilities of backups, as long as they are Christian based.  Alzheimers, AIDS, etc.  Let's not jump to conclusions and overcomplicate our system.  Let's take this slow and see if Rosetta comes back with new tasks today.

I see the coin supply on this explorer is 450 MM while coinmarketcap shows 496 MM:
https://explorer.biblepay-central.org/info

I wonder which one is wrong...  Biblepay-Central however has the correct difficulty level and appears to be in sync.

I don't think any of them are Christian based. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

How often do tasks need to be submitted? Because if our all our task weights go to zero only a few people will get paid.

Good question Smiley
Maybe I run a force-update, possible that the system missed some transactions.

Looks like ouur Explorers coin supplys are different,
I am using the Iquidus value "BALANCES" below for the coin supply setting in explorer/settings.json:

Code:
  // how to calculate current coin supply
  // COINBASE : total sent from coinbase (PoW)
  // GETINFO : retreive from getinfo api call (PoS)
  // HEAVY: retreive from heavys getsupply api call
  // BALANCES : total of all address balances
  // TXOUTSET : retreive from gettxoutsetinfo api call
  "supply": "BALANCES",

https://github.com/iquidus/explorer/blob/3a8148edc28c3c6431fd0164d7973e49f53c5a69/lib/explorer.js#L233

"gettxoutsetinfo" command also shows 496 million

Code:
gettxoutsetinfo
{
  "height": 36801,
  "bestblock": "060494963426d106e7fb166b64ec807992e315ce09321eab891553b508c508fd",

Are both southxchange.com and C-CEX equally reliable / trusted? Which one is better from your experience?

I would like to buy a significant amount of BBP. Are these exchanges the best (or only) way?

Thank you!

Has anyone posted on the Rosetta forums to let them know about tasks running out?
https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_index.php

I assume they are probably aware, but you never know

I believe they have both been pretty good to us,
A little while back C-CEX went on vacation with little notice and it also came to light that they lost Verge coins,
I believe they still have new user registration disabled last I checked,
So Id go with SouthXChange

There are other ways to slowly gain coins, but yes using the Exchanges would be the best way to get a lot of coins

There are comments on there already about not having any tasks but I don't see a response from Rosetta yet.

I believe these are lists of other BOINC projects:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Project_list
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php

Not sure if and how many of them are CPU only though and also align with our current mission of healing and curing

But yeah no need to jump the gun, but always good to look at options

Yeah, I think we can start a discussion since it may take a while for everyone to agree on the next one. One thing I'm worried about is if we are exceeding their demand. Did anyone notice if the number of available tasks has been slowly decreasing? I noticed that I'm still getting tasks but just not a lot of them so that means new tasks are still being generated.

It could also be so that you're getting tasks that missed the deadline on other machines. I don't know how it works, but maybe these tasks get redistributed after missing their deadline. so they are not actually generating new tasks. Just speculation Smiley
