This is an interesting coin, I like the budget voting based on the entire network and not just the masternodes. Anything in the works to get added on cryptopia?

Also on the website it talks of expanding the community in 2018 which I agree is paramount to any success of a masternode coin but how is this planned to be done? Thanks, good luck everyone.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hello Smiley I added Magnet COIN on minpool.net

  • Stratum  : minpool.net:3000
  • Algo : X11
  • User     : YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS
  • Password : c=MAG,d=92

Configure
Code:
-a x11 -o stratum+tcp://minpool.net:3000 -u your_wallet_address -p c=MAG,d=92

Happy mining Smiley

Without d=92, it will automatically set for difficulty anyway. By the way, your pool better be honest or i will expose everyone.

Great job so far. I like the budget idea as it gives more credibility to the project. I will be setting up my MN shortly (i got the coins)

I think its also important to consider reserving funds for a larger exchange. The exchange will increase the focus on the coin.

Try and come up with some tweak that can give this coin a truely unique place, such as voting inside the wallet on certain proposals, etc.

Cryptopia might happen although with BTC being so expensive the entry fee 5 btc looks a bit out of our reach at the moment, but we are looking for ways to do this.
We will list ourselves on an exchange in Q1 of 2018. It is sometimes months long process to get listed depending on how big the exchange is.
o

Thank You for support and i hope this helps!

Guys, you need to get listed on other exchanges ASAP!
Right now your whole ecosystem depends on one exchange. if anything happens to it the coin will suffocate.
Also if the mining becomes less profitable you will start loosing hashrate, because miners will start switching to other coins.
You need to drive the price up. Even a small exchange will do.

Have you negotiated with Yobit? their entrance fee is 0.1btc:

Code:
https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/
To add a new coin to Yobit please you need to fill out the form below.
Payment method: YobiCode
Listing type:
• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 4-7 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 2-3 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)
Please register and create Yobicode here.

For requesting New ICO - click here
New rules:
- bitcointalk topic only (!)
- max premine - 20%
- not accepted coins with newbie topic
- not accepted coins with text only topics
- no wallet builders
- nodes should be included in source code
- request can be declined if we don’t like your coin.

start with small ones, then grow big!

Hi!
Tell me please, how many coins do you get from the MN per day?
Over the past week, the payoff has fallen?

Hi!

Check out my spreadsheet to figure out your chances of getting rewarded over X period of time:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zpXanRYZsWBPbHDEJpKX0jp9lkhXI1nRiJq9TgO1RjY/edit#gid=0

Basically you still have over a flipping-coin chance (53.28%) of getting a reward every 8 hours but keep in mind that these are odds, your masternode could be falling into the 1% that would not get rewarded in 48 hours.

Here are some actual stats from 5 random Magnet masternodes over the past 6 days (18/12 to 23/12):

Hello everyone!

Every masternode has the same chance to get rewarded ? Does not affect the reward tine the number of MAGs in the masternode?

I mean, I have enough MAGs to set a new masternode, and thinking in setting another one.

Some replys ago I read about the staking queue ... Could some explain it? Probably will put some light to the PoS noobs here (like me).

Thanks in advance

For the past 15 days the pool has consistently found between 90-110 blocks every 12H.

And Merry Christmas!

The amount sitting on your wallet would not affect the rewards. In theory you could send another 10K to the same address and use the tx id to setup the new masternode but I would recommend to create a new address (same wallet) so you can easily figure out which masternode has receive the reward (rewards would be sent to pubkey).

Check out post above for more information about PoS mechanics.

Hi!
I'm trying to install a masternode on the VPS (Ubuntu 16.04 server). I do everything according to the instructions from the site. After starting I get:
root@aruMN:~/magnet# ./magnetd
./magnetd: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.62.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

What am I doing wrong?
