Can somebody epxplain what happens with MAG specifications?

In whitepaper says:

Block Time: 90 secs per block.
Block Reward: 200
Block Reward Halving: every 360 000 blocks

So, it is 24*3600/90=960 blocks per 24h

Have you seen the hashrate recently? It spikes up to 400t/h. That's a lot of hashing power. That's why blocks are being generated so fast.

Have you read my post and checked the dates which I used to calculate the average quantity of blocks per day?
And, in each blockchain thereis difficulty which recalculates every time when nethash changes to aim specified quantity of blocks.
So, at least I'm waiting for official fix of this mistake.

I put command "getinfo" in the console of debug window of the latest magnet wallet
and it says for now 10.02.2018/20:16:

{
    "version" : "v1.3.0.0-61403",
    "protocolversion" : 61403,

    "mininput" : 0.00000000,
    "unlocked_until" : 0,
    "errors" : ""
}

We are at block #151856

151856/960=151.18 days or more than 5 months BUT the project was started in November of 2017,
about 3 months before, not 5 months.

And finally i do some researches.

I open my transactions and take two points:

1. txid: 46615bd7d579ed98b9ae8ab1e85d4a15bda3a2dff7564fc3d6860f10fc4bc502  at 02.12.2017, 14:01 / 115814 confirmations
2. txid: 67fb03fa05ea16f2c3d470bb926209228c7d508fe73742bd98d7fba746380fd5 at 20.12.2017, 13:51 / 86227 confirmations

So, from 1 to 2 was 115814-86227=29587 blocks
29587/(20-2)=1644 blocks per day which is greater than specified 960 blocks/day

Lets take some other points:

3. txid: 95dfb03afec12ddf0f1a64b59077bb04236ff228e5b806922db1d050d1b2775e at 19.12.2017, 10:00 / 88129 confirmations
4. txid: 6d4afb499e3eafa0b3076ca03c5607347aa9fd0baf973a563141fba606db53d5 at 03.02.2018, 10:08 / 12092 confirmations

So, from 3 to 4 was 88129-12092=76037 blocks
76037/46=1652 blocks per day, almost the same like from 1'st case

Could somebody explain all this?

It is include POS Block.
Block time seem only count for POW block

You could jump in Discord to see if this coin is dead or not.

Yes, I mine MAG successfully.
It connects to official pool as usual.
It trades on coinexchange and some others, at least first one functions like usual.
Yes, it is alive. )

Hello,  this is probably a newbie question.   I have a cold wallet setup for the Magnet masternode.   When I unlock my PC and open the wallet the masternode status is "updating network list".  After unlocking the wallet I select "start all" the masternode status says "Masternode is running".

Does the wallet have to remain open or unlocked for the masternode to work?
Is anyone using staking = 0?
How long does it take before you see rewards?

yeah, you can close your wallet after starting a masternode.
wait a few minutes then check if your masternode appeared on the network - http://magnetwork.io/checkmn/

you need to set staking = 0 in magnet.conf

Are you sure, you have to set staking = 0?
Because I have staking = 1, and I'm getting MN rewards and POS too.

Thank you I'll will try staking = 1
After 2 days .008 mined. Every time I login to my pc.  The masternode cannot be found in http://magnetwork.io/checkmn/.   I have to unlock the cold wallet and restart.  Are you using hot wallet or cold wallet?

The recommendation is that you should set staking=0 in the conf file on the masternode.

The small rewards you are getting on your MN is normal - you should get the larger 100 rewards soon. On average, it currently works out around 45 MAG a day for an MN, but remember this is an average. Over 1 month, it should work out at 45 a day, even if you do go some days with any 100 MAG rewards.

Base of my exp in cold wallet setting (NOT VPS)

Staking=0
ONLY MN Address get the Staking & MN Reward
Rest of your wallet balance in your other address in QT dont get any staking rewards

Staking=1
All address in your wallet get staking rewards
BUT.. Sometime you will be "kicked" from MN List (inactive if you check in masternode.online)

Almost a full retracement from last all time highs, seeing possible support at 3500-3700 satoshi range, if this breaks which is likely we will look to 2500 for the next support.

If you are on the sidelines looking at this coin it could be a really good time to buy, look at the chart, almost a full correction from 19k back to 3k-4k range.

I would buy a little bit at these levels and set some bigger buys around 2500-3k and hope they get filled, considering what this coin and community have gone through the past couple months I would say that hopefully the bumps in the road are over but the dev team and community have proven strong I think.

If it reaches 0.20 USD I would buy it at that time, at most 2K mag to save it and the rest I would mine with my Machine, MAG has a huge potential, it is a golden opportunity to buy it at that price.
