It used to be 1000 on gox just few days ago Nobody uses Gox. I don't really care about price targets any more. I just want more merchant adoption and the price will rise naturally.

Mt.Gox prices are only relevant when quoted in Japanese Yen.
They do cite dollar prices, but you cannot easily get money from them unless you are in Japan, and therefore getting the money in Yen.
The prices they cite in Dollars are subject to artificial exchange rates that you can expect to evaporate in fees as they trade currencies for you to get Dollars. You won't actually get your Dollars before the end of the following week anyway, so there is effectively no chance of making timely trades to arbitrage any market advantage that does poke its head above the fees anyway.
Dollar prices quoted on Gox are illusory.

I think it's going to take something pretty big for the price to change too much now. Look at the whole 'Russia suggested ban'. That was fairly big news, but the price wasn't affected THAT much. It was a small dip that is rebounding slowly. I think it would have to take something huge for the price to rocket like it has in the past.

Just as Cryddit and hilariousandco mentioned, the gox price is pretty irrelevant, unless the USD withdrawal problem there has been solved.

Of course it will. It will either be worthless or worth $1 million, assuming it either fails or becomes the dominant currency. EDIT: next month

Probably as soon as we get a couple of big merchants behind it. I predict stagnancy for a while, but I think it'll gro over the year and explode with a couple of big announcements.

I think bitcoin will trade in a fairly narrow range for the first half of the year but there will be some momentum growth in the late fall as some major international financial/retail players adopt bitcoin and by Christmas time 2014 it should break the $1500+ level with occasional $2000 peaks.

As long as we can more and more merchants accepting bitcoin, I have full faith in its future. + 1 the hard part for merchants is that it takes fiat to buy stuff to sell. Once the exchange goes faster then everything will work out smoothly.
